It can't be called overdancing if the steps she make is very clean and precise. She just gives her all in every performance. That's what a powerhouse dancer does. Overdancing is when a dancer dances rashly and exagerrated where she messes up the right way of doing the step and makes it look like overpowering the other dancers.
Jihyo herself has said that she’s a slow learner (I believe it was in a TWICE: STL episode) But I think that it clearly shows in her dancing. Not in a negative manner. She takes the time to learn exactly what’s going to look the best when she dances, and has clearly thought out which parts of the dance should be slower, more intense, etc. It looks to me like she isn’t just learning the moves when she’s taught them, but the isolations, the level of power, and the expressions. You can tell that she really put her hard work into this performance as well as many many others.
I also remembered her saying that in an interview, (I think it was a radio show) they were asked who had a hard time learning the choreo and she and JY raised their hands but also she said that what's important is how well you perform it on stage. And I completely agree with her.
I would say that in red velvet she would be the main dancer, gfriend, (g)-idle, in blackpink i'm not so sure, because lisa has amazing skills, but jihyo can serve it better than lisa in other dancing categories, maybe both could be main dancers or keep jihyo as a lead dancer, the only girl group in wich I cant see jihyo as the main dancer is twice because of course we have one of the best if not the best female dancer of this generation, aka momo, but i'm not sure I could definetly see her getting main dancer in blackpink cause I think she serves more stage presence than lisa, but lisa has incredible dancing skills so Idk-

Jihyo is born to be a performer. Her screen presence is insane. She is so charismatic. Jihyo catches my attention the most even though she got less screen time. She gives her 200% in each performance regardless of the focus is on her or not. Even with fewer lines, less screen time, dancing on the edge during the dance break, maximum transitions yet Jihyo still shines the brightest. I'm not downgrading the other member of Twice but Jihyo is in ANOTHER LEVEL. Her charisma, the way she moves, her facial expression, it's all ON POINT. I'm not a once so I don't know much about them but to catch my eyes the first time I saw her perform 'more and more' , she leaves me a lot of good impressions. The other members are good too but I just can't seem to catch their charisma. I always thought that Twice's charisma is always from the group. When they're together, they alwasy create a fantastic aura. Individually, they don't really impact me that much. But what I didn't know is there is a hidden diamond among them and that is Jihyo. She's just another class of performer. And this is only my opinion. I am not disrespecting anyone.

Lee Ming Ko although I love Jihyo and really appreciate her efforts, I don’t think she should be considered as a main dancer. Lead dancer fits more but not main dancer. Reason being she tends to overdance and executes EVERY move with a lot of power even when it’s not needed. She’s really energetic but she puts too much energy in that she always run out of breath and seems very tired when she’s waiting in her positions. She doesn’t execute her moves smoothly and it sometimes seem sloppy. I’m not hating on her. I’m just saying she’s not that good of a dancer to be considered a main dancer with Momo and Mina.

Jihyo is born to be a performer. Her screen presence is insane. She is so charismatic. Jihyo catches my attention the most even though she got less screen time. She gives her 200% in each performance regardless of the focus is on her or not. Even with fewer lines, less screen time, dancing on the edge during the dance break, maximum transitions yet Jihyo still shines the brightest. Jihyo dances with so much passion and her expressions are just so on point. She is called God Jihyo for a reason. Perfect is all way.

I'm not downgrading the other member of Twice but Jihyo is in ANOTHER LEVEL. Her charisma, the way she moves, her facial expression, it's all ON POINT. I'm not a once so I don't know much about them but to catch my eyes the first time I saw her perform 'more and more' , she leaves me a lot of good impressions. The other members are good too but I just can't seem to catch their charisma. I always thought that Twice's charisma is always from the group. When they're together, they alwasy create a fantastic aura. Individually, they don't really impact me that much. But what I didn't know is there is a hidden diamond among them and that is Jihyo. She's just another class of performer. And this is only my opinion. I am not disrespecting anyone.

Lee Ming Ko although I love Jihyo and really appreciate her efforts, I don’t think she should be considered as a main dancer. Lead dancer fits more but not main dancer. Reason being she tends to overdance and executes EVERY move with a lot of power even when it’s not needed. She’s really energetic but she puts too much energy in that she always run out of breath and seems very tired when she’s waiting in her positions. She doesn’t execute her moves smoothly and it sometimes seem sloppy. I’m not hating on her. I’m just saying she’s not that good of a dancer to be considered a main dancer with Momo and Mina.
