The only reason people saw the sternum seems to be they don’t want to reach up and grab the windpipe. Not sure why, you’re already elbow deep in blood what’s a little more?
Good description. In 30 years of processing deer I've never needed a saw in the field. Get the guts out and leave as much hide as possible to protect the meat. I don't understand why some gut from bunghole to neck exposing all that meat.
I carried a Gerber exchange a blade for over 20 years. It saws through moose and elk super fast. Also pretty good with wood to with the bigger teeth blade. Those T handle bone saws are a pain. Keeping it simply.
Explain to me how your Speed goat knife thats stainless steel, paracord grip and about 7 inches long is worth $225? I always found stainless blades dont hold an edge very well to start with. Not hating but Damm $225?
Great question! There’s different factors that go into it - our Magnacut stainless steel are fairly thin, which make them easier to resharpen than some other stainless or other thicker blades. Edge retention is still great on them. As for the rest, all of our knives come with adjustable kydex sheaths as well as a lifetime warranty through our Generations program - basically we will resharpen, re-wrap and generally clean up any of our knives sent back to us for the life of the knife. And at no cost to the customer. If it’s something major, we can reshape or replace. Lastly, we are a small Montana based company that only utilizes American manufacturing and American parts, with American employees. All that said, these things do come with a price 🇺🇸
Thank you, and yes, a demo video would be great.
Thanks for watching!
Finally somebody made the right size knife for dressing animals
Good video. I used to carry the same saw, mine probably still has strike anywhere matches in the handle.
Nice!!!
Would you guys ever consider making a MKC hatchet in the future?
Mate, nothing like a demonstration....? Seriously, we can all talk about the theory.
Thanks for that comment so I knew not to watch this knife sales video.
I agree definitely want to have a lightweight backpack
For sure!

That’s a good point. There’s a lot of different ways to do it!
How hard is your 52100 steel. ?
60-61 Rockwell hardness, depending on the blade 👊
Great videos and production as usual! Big fan already and I don’t even have a knife yet. When will you drop goat minis next?
Thanks! And should be later this year!
Got to say..... great looking blades....... nothing like a demo to show case what your "theory" of how they work better.......

Yeah some options work better than others!

I got rid of the bone saw when they came out with the butt-out tool...that works great at getting the anus and the plumbing out.
ive never seen anyone use a bone saw to field dress a deer...
Usually if someone has one, they are using it for splitting the pelvic bone!
🍻
🙏🙌
No actual video. TH-cam keeps bringing me to MKC propaganda. Stop using fake headlines!
Wow. What a waste of my time.
