They are decent, with the exception of the FT-17, with less-than-decent firepower and armour, but its speed is very fast, faster than I'm normally used to, and it's very small, so it's good for outmanoeuvring larger enemies or hit and run tactics.

Quite long if you're not playing a custom match. But even if you are playing a custom match, it will still take quite long if you aren't playing on peak hours, which is 7:00 p.m. JST (or 8:00 p.m. SGT) onwards. Even then, you will be thrusted into a match with 9 other Japanese try-hards, which is why I don't post much mulitplayer on this channel.
What are "custom match"? Is it just a normal multiplayer match or? And then is there any region/server different depends on the game I purchase? Or is it all on one server? Since if it crowded with JP player shouldn't I be buying the jp version or global/english version is the same?

It is until you get bored of it. It does not receive regular seasonal updates and has only 1 DLC with 1 new school apart from the other small miscellaneous character customisation packs. Do not buy it until a discount comes. It might not be worth your money.
