Nice damage control from MS when Rider is crushing them for UE development. Years of doing nothing, they started to do at least something only because of Rider, if not that competition u would not get anything.
Triple A Games: We are struggling to survive.. So we will up the price to £100 in the next Q4/next year. But we'll use free AI tools and make your games worse, then last years games. That cost us less, yet well be taking more of your money.
How about just better blueprint's front end tools period that won't make them worse. They've barely changed in over a decade. Where is multithreading out of the box? Where is quaternion composition? Where is embedding cpp segments inside blueprints safely? where is the rest of the codebase?
You can make this yourself with a custom AI build (like Llama3) where you add agents for reading images, binary files with a conversion through a VM to understand it, and whatever other functionality you need. These free AI (or paid Copilot) are locked data. They are good for a chatbot or as a better google search, but the real power is when you develop it for custom requirements.
Maybe you need an AI to show you why your code is not best practice. Maybe you need it to deep dive code and save you 10 minutes everything you need to search for something. Maybe you need AI to refactor code quickly, from code you already wrote, without wasting time. Maybe you need it to optimise things you don't understand (because you do not understand everything, nobody does). Remember, even the smartest person in the room can learn from the least smart person in the room.

lol, visual studio, I remember that thing
What do you use now? Rider?
feels like more of an ad for microsoft than a presentation

Sounds like it’s verbatim from EA's business strategy memo LOL
actualy that is really great for smaller developers or solo devs, I welcome this, let capital greed burn itself
That, "pirate" looks horrid.
Make some AI for blueprints like Copilot. Will be super useful and save the time

There is ludus ai but it's definitely not free
@@tehf00n At this rate maybe you should just do C++ and not bother eh
I don't need an AI that can tell me what my project does, I just programmed the darn thing!
Did you miss the part where he said maybe it's not your project?

@@tehf00n Or maybe you're not a solo dev and you have, you know, code reviews ?
lmao modern and VS in the same sentences ???
