I think comparing the Grim Knight to Punisher is a false equivalency as the Punisher won’t kill good guys if they get in his way. Grim Knight does.

You look at it the wrong way. The good guys will try to shoot him even if he only killed the bad ones. Plus he is from the Dark Multiverse where worlds are destroyed much quicker, so you can't blame him as he will be horrified about fate of his home.

Batman Who Laughs is the best new cbm character in last 20 years. Like seriously this guy's unlike anything this industry's ever seen before. Scott Snyder's stories can be really convulated sometimes but the way he built the Metal storyline up since Court-Of-Owls and also tied it with the Final Crisis is a masterpiece.
This Grimknight is so cool, we need more of his stories. He should have his own event.

And they are all embodiments of Batman's worst fears and regrets:
-Batman who Laughs: He and Joker aren't that different.
-Red Death: Losing the batfamily and not being fast enough.
-Merciless: Allowing vengeance to get the best of him.
-Dawnbreaker: Power and inner darkness consuming him.
-Drowned: Paranoia about metahumans.
-Devastator: Superman losing his mind.
-Murder Machine: Losing Alfred and dependence on technology.
-Grim Knight: Taking the war against crime too far or too literally.

I wonder how would be an evil version of Batman with Jon Jonz's powers. How would he get MM's powers and what would trigger the change? Also, what would he be called?
@@edvance1030 martian manhunter is an alien, so he's born with it. maybe his powers come from his dna or his blood, in which case batman could get a sample and inject himself. But, we don't know if that's the case. It's the same logic for why we haven't seen a batman with superman powers

I do wonder if Grim will end up betraying TBWL.
All we've seen him do is kill criminals and shoot the other Bruce.
TBWL has seemingly killed all of the Innocents in this comic.
So what if Grim, in a twisted way, is actually beating TBWL by playing into his plan and double-crossing him.
Based off of TBHL's description of his backstory, all we know is that he's like Dawnbreaker in the way that he does Justice in the most ruthless manner (although with more Batman brains than Dawnbreaker).
So for all we know, Grim could be kinda like Light Yagimi, he does kill criminals and bad guys, but will likely kill those who get in the way.
And TBWL and Main Bruce both likely fall under that description in Grim's mind.
Very interesting theory there, Alovon.. But only time will tell if you're proven right..

He's just a really grim guy, but supposedly on the good side.
The Grim Knight reminds me of two previous versions of Batman. 1) In the Anansi Timeline Justice League of America storyline Bruce Wayne saw a cowboy movie instead of Zorro, killed Joe Chill with the dropped gun and became the Paladin and 2) In the Countdown to 52 where on Earth 51 Batman killed the Joker after Jason Todd died and then went to war with all other Supercriminals. But atleast on those 2 earths Bruce Wayne is still somewhat good but this Grim Knight seems totally merciless and sociopathic.
I think it's very, intriguing and exciting I definitely need more of this story..
This makes me more curious as to why he would be working for the bwl? Unlike all the dark knights, who we saw there motives and mindset, yet this one is completely different. Sure you may argue his motive is to kill criminals or to gain a stable universe , yet he works with one of the worst beings ever I really hope they make an issue with his origin soon

Do either of those 3 even have a solid origin? From what I've seen there are a lot of theories but no confirmed backstory to any of them.
I said origin of Phantom Stranger specifically because of that, as nobody knows for sure how he came to be, which makes him real interesting imho.

Think about this: The Grim Knight is everything that Batman isn't and is the reason why Joker never existed in his universe.
Jim Gordon is the arch nemesis of The Grim Knight. The rivalry between Jim and The Grim Knight reminded me of White Knight.
After all, both Jim and Joker start with the first letter.
Having him pop up once or twice kind of makes him even cooler like Darth Vader in New hope obviously more than once or twice but used sparingly

The grim knight doesn’t make sense to me because even though he’s an unethical batman, it seems as though he still wants to maintain law & order
The batman who laughs is reflecting joker ideologies which should really go against the ideology of grim batman
If there are people in the way or obstacles in achiveing Justice, then they die cause they obstruct Justice, which is why the Grim Knight kills those people who protect the ones that deserve death. Like those Arkham Security Guards that were protecting Joker, who deserved death, but because the guards are protecting him, they die because they protected the evil from justice
The Grim Knight is a really interesting idea. Punisher Batman. I wonder why he’s helping the Batman Who Laughs. Does the Grim Knight have a similar code to the Punisher, not killing innocents. Perhaps he doesn’t know about all the innocents the Batman Who Laughs killed. Maybe he believes that normal Batman is a failure for not killing, and the punishment for that failure is death. If the serum can make people their dark versions, can it be used to turn the dark version to the light? Maybe the Grim Knight is working with the Batman Who Laughs to make the serum, so he can the use it on the Batman Who Laughs, eliminating the threat of a Joker Batman.
Batman who kills yesss! The Grim Knight is the best Batman in my opinion, skilful martial artist and weapons expert so deadly and awesome, this character has so much potential in comics, movies, animation movies and video games, my favourite character love him.
In the current comics it was mentioned that he killed dozens of kids for littering

First of all this isn't DC focusing yet again just on Batman, it's part of Year of the Villain. Just a one shot comic. None of Batman rogues have gotten a push like those of other characters' villains. So in their place is Batman Who Laughs.
I think the grim knight is a great addition to DC Comics especially when they flush him out more in terms of making either a hero or a villain by the end of his existence

He appeared in Justice League Vol 4 #7 #8 and #13
He created in 2017 and already had 30+ appearances in only 2 Years
he is kinda became one of major villains of DC lately
Red Death (Flash-Batman) is hinted to appear to The Flash Series which kinda make him become one of Flash’s villains
so yea I hope The Devastator, The Merciless and The Drowned to appear more often

This is just so fucking awesome! I thought the Batman Who Laughs was badass, but the Grim Knight is just total badass! Anyone who doesn't think that Batman is the most dangerous man in the DC Universe is just plain idiotic. I have said before that a Batman unleashed could do some serious damage. This continues to be proven as fact. The Batman is one of the best & greatest, but he's also the most dangerous.
I really hope that the new Batman movie with RP will be this story line!

The Grim Knight will get his own series on 3/13/18 called The Batman Who Laughs: The Grim Knight. Either a series or one-shot on his origin and how he's recruited. Just like the Dark Knights before him.
