1 10 ozs .pkt. Vermicelli
1 1/2 Cups Water.
1 can Evaporated Milk
1 can Condensed Milk
2 Cups 2 % Milk
1/2 Cup Sugar.
12 Cloves
2 Sticks Cinnamon
1 Tbsp. Margarine.
Raisins

add like 2tbsp of custard powder diluted in water n it thickens faster n taste more yummy n creamy
My Guyanese Mother in law thought me how to make this. I just tweaked it a bit. I used butter instead of margarine, golden raisins and add to the cinnamon and clove, black seed cardamom. No water, just 3 dif. types of milk. Yuummmmm!!!!
That’s really good. I didn’t realise the connection between our countries so many thousands of miles apart. Our foods appear so similar. We call this dish tambi in Kenya 🇰🇪. Lovely. For you pan I recommend a wooden spatula. 👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽👍🏽

For those that don't know " carnation " is a brand.... however, the type of milk is... Evaporated Milk. And also Sweetened Condensed Milk you use.
Used to look forward to this after school. I now make it for my children & grandchildren.

sawine cake !!!! my mum was from Guyana and taught many people here in Trinidad to make this . Her kurma , and dhal halwa was really outstanding. Not to mention that dish called duff .

try using a plastic cooking spoon with your non-stick pan, the metal spoon will damage your pan
Good idea, but it was not a non -stick Pan .
I was thinking the same thing about using the metal spoon on the nonstick pan.
