I noticed something. You can really notice how the coding works in animusic especially at 2:46.
The animations are bound to the MIDI tracks. They are programmed to play specific things according to the MIDI data. At 2:46, one of the robots goes up to hit a cymbal, but his MIDI programming demands him back where he was beforehand, so he quickly snaps back.
    God, I love Animusic.

The Animusic series was created using Animusic|Studio, software that takes the completed MIDI file and automatically generates corresponding animation based on hand animated or motion captured primitives for each instrument. Essentially it's all automatic blending between a comparatively small amount of manual animation work. That's not to say it looks bad or even that it's lazy. It's the only reason any of this was viable as a product in the first place

Essentially it's all automatic blending between a comparatively small amount of manual animation work. That's not to say it looks bad or even that it's lazy. It's the only reason any of this was viable as a product in the first place. One of the biggest reasons Animusic 3 stalled out was that Studio wasn't capable of managing the extra moving parts and fine details in a consistent manner. It either had to be rebuilt from the ground up, or the music would have to be written to only focus on its strengths. They went with the second option, the limitations combined with inconveniently timed health and personal issues slowed composer Wayne Lytle's output to such a degree that the whole company fell apart.

The world knows about the ancient artifact that was the Temple of Heavy Light. But what society didn't know was that - to process the light that would power the Harmonic Voltage project - they would need a system to use the light, test it and send it off. The Gyro Drum Gang sit at the centre of the massive temple itself, and as forementioned, uses the light, tests it, and sends it to the project - drifting among space. These automatons wouldn't miss a prehistoric beat. No, not once. All that remains lies elsewhere...

      Please continue this
As Thanos once said, "Fine, I'll do it myself."
The gyro drummers were never revealed to have a power source, most assumed the drums powered them. But no, In side the center of it, lied a generator so efficient, it could be as small as a molecule. The creators named it "The Fiber Bundle", which was so effective they made more to power centimeter tall robots that played orchestra, the Pogo Sticks. These things were great for building, so they were used to help create Pipe Dreams 1 and 2. They also helped in the creation of the disco space shuttle. Untold mysteries lie beyond this continuation, but another scholar may write more.
