I was JUST talking to my therapist about the intense urge to never leave my house. Like even going to the appointment felt like an all day ordeal because I think about it until it's over. Like missing a turn while driving was the end of the world. Point is, I ADORE you and your chats. It helps that you are hilarioussss. No but same. I have Google Maps on to go places in a city I *grew up in* because "What if...". I had to have my therapy discussion about verbally calling out my most extreme and unrealistic thoughts because you hear it and say "girl im sorry what?" to yourself 💀

We have one person in my bookclub/friend chat that has a literal library addiction i swear. for months now she will pick up 6 hold and panic read 4 other books that have no renewals left and return them. then the cycle repeats. we all admitted its not the worst addiction to have 💀

The "fears" thing you talked about hit home with me. I do that constantly...just worry about stupid things that may or may not happen. Then I procrastinate or just don't do something.
You're so funny Olivia. The scrub a dub thing and then telling yourself don't ever do that again 😂. I also have driving anxiety along with regular anxiety. I barely drive now since I wfh now so when I do have to drive it's worse since I'm not used to it as much anymore lol

I go to Texas for work a lot and agree on the highways! Especially in the DFW area we go to, I make the guys I go with drive.
Also I’m the same on the house thing. I thought it was the best during the shutdowns but I recently realized how negatively it actually affected me. Here’s to us going places this year!

For the long vlogs, I'd love to see time stamps for subjects! I don't always have time to watch a whole long vlog, but i like to see book/animal/coffee stuff (but for instance i dont watch real housewives so i skip those discussions )

i can testify about the left over fear of going out since lockdown. i am still uneasy but i take small steps esp because i am chronically ill and mostly blind. so interesting to see how you guys and folks from the uk - gavin - can book out your own books with a computer. we still old school with librarians behind the desk for check out and receiving😵💫😇
We still have librarians that do that! I think they are introducing a self checkout kind of thing tho

You asked about when we take our christmas tree down. According to tradition, I usually keep my tree up until the 6th of january. It is usually down by then. Just an old christian tradition from the 4th century where it is taken down on Three Kings Day (AKA Eve of the Epiphany or Twelfth Night). I have no real reason for this besides my mother always doing it on that day and telling me about the tradition one time when I asked. LOL.

I'm experienceing the same anxiety that comes from staying at home too much. I work from home, we don't really go out to eat. Like I'm home all the time and suddenly I'm scared to drive anywhere. Its not even that crazy where I live. Its like a medium size town but I get legit terrified to go places by myself now. wtf. I also need to get a grip.
I’m so sorry you’re experiencing this, but I completely understand. I would recommend, if you can, to start small and maybe sit in your car at the park and read for a little bit, or just go to a drive thru or something to get out of the house! Small steps are best 🫶🏻
