...when I used to come home Honolulu from mainland university on schoolbreak in the '80s, would see cousins and go fishing up on the Big Isle and throw net, near Honolii, the Ninue would swim up river and eat the fallen guava, made for some ono tempura and rice. Any time we caught school of baby mullet(Kings Landing), we'd ungill quickly and throw back into the water, so they can grow. learned to throw net in Panama with Dad and brother, who was in US military and the reefs were choke....what memories...

Lol at the beginning of this video Braddah I show how I set up. The trick is for choke up little bit on the net and use the momentum of the net. The smoother you are with the throw the farther you can throw only thing you gottah keep in mind is that the farther you throw the less he open up
Yeah I keep what I need and give away to my Ohana and friends what I don’t need if I catch extra. only time I throw back is if no meet legal size requirement or if I over bag limit
