I saw her the first time when she opened for Rodriguez in Cape Town. None of us had ever heard of her and I think most of us in the audience were like, "Who the fuck is this?" When she started playing you could hear a pin drop in the auditorium. And when she finished her song nobody clapped. We were all absolutely paralysed with emotion. People started looking at each other and you could see that everyone had that what the fuck just happened look on their faces. And then the whole place erupted into applause. Sad to say it but she was the highlight of the show and Rodriguez was the supporting artist. I will always remember that night as one of those rare blessings where you get to experience something exceptional.

Ich kenn mich zwar nicht aus und würde gern mehr davon erfahren, was genau sie da macht,
aber es hat für mich jene ekstatische Schwingung in sich, die bei "Somebody to love"
bewundert wurde.
