Bluegrass meets Texas Swing...a great combination...great to hear you guys doing things like this and "Dragging the Bow".....much more appealing and joyful than those depressing, sorrowful bluegrass anthems. This is a great style for you girls...it fits you!
I get the same chills listening to y'all sing something like this as I do to the Andrew Sisters, long before any of our time. You have something quite special. So many highlights here. The harmonies, that spectacular bass foundation that often gets forgotten, and babygirl soloing on that mandolin.
Hi. Just saw this video on TH-cam for the very first time. 2 yo.Well, we dont get to see these great clips down under in Ozy too soon however very enjoyable music. The four sisters are so pleasant to hear and view. The banjo player is so cool and a great musician. From an 80yo guy, you are all wonderful
Love it! Listen to and watch this often. Sophia gets after it with the walking bass on that second verse. Western Swing suits you well. Maybe there is a Cindy Walker song out there - Sugar Moon, perhaps.
That was so needed -- lots of bad news on the airwaves these last few days. Nice respite from all that, and the old music is really the best. And every dollar you all spend on your outfits is a dollar well spent. If there was a fund for that I'd contribute to it.
Unfortunately I clicked on this as one of somebody's mix and they've screwed up the sound/vid sync in all their vids to where it's unwatchable. Will find it at the BSB website to listen to it properly. :>)
I like your sound! I’m a fan! Coming from someone who studied Music, I don’t think you should use the long a vowel sound. I think it should be the vowel sound as in the word duck. You can check with someone that’s more of an expert than me, but I believe that’s what it should be. Otherwise, I. love your sound and you are very pretty girls. What can I say? I’m a fan!
Please don't blame me, I want to add something : Rory Gallagher - Mercy River & Amazing Grace (Bremen 1992) Rory Gallagher - Signals Rory Gallagher - As the crow flies (Irish Tour 74) Rory Gallagher - Out of my mind. wmv Rory Gallagher - Live at the Bottom Line Club New York 11.11.1978, the Late Show (but take care, it's not "soft" Rock) Rory Gallagher - Doing Time Rory Gallagher Love Rory Gallagher - Loose Talk (I want to add something: Rory was not known as a Christian, but there are TH-cam uploads of concerts (Philadelphia 1978, New York 1978), where he said "God bless you" or "God bless" to the audience.) I want to add: Rory Gallagher (French Broadcasts boot - Louie Louie/Bullfrog Blues)
And, a song I found recently: Rory Gallagher - Kickback City (Dublin 1983) Please take a bit care. And, perhaps you will feel, a bit or more than a bit, the Holy Spirit.
You're right! Funny, we didn't realize they had done it until about a year after we had already been playing it. They have a wonderful version! Can't beat the triple fiddles.
These are your future good ol days and "remember when..." days. Thanks for sharing your talents and hearts with the rest of us.
Well I don’t want to be a sinner so I won’t tell a lie when I say I really do love you ladies.
You girls sound as good as you look!!!
Sister harmony, once again, is just great. A favorite old song done right.
Great job on this song.

You can buy their CD and bumper stickers/posters here :)

I don’t know who cast the lone thumbs down vote, but it’s obviously someone without ears, eyes or taste.
Ladies, you’ve got a great sound. Also, you’re very pretty young ladies. If I was about 40’years younger I would want you to be my girlfriend!
