I saw Beyoncé 9 times in concert. I saw her tribute to Michael and Whitney on her shows live. So when Tina, and Beyoncé was touring, I expected her to do a tribute. I thought she would do a version of „Simply the best“, but surprised me a lot to have taken „River deep, mountain high“, a song I did not knew before. I totally agree with you, that she gives that song in her tribute so much depth and feeling, that the song becomes heartbreaking. I could totally understand the moments, when you saw it first time and you started to get a dreamy smile in parts where Beyoncé roars emotionally parts out like a lion. I love this tribute. I was so happy to experience it live in Cologne. 🫶🏻

Beyonce is always better than we can imagine, you never know exactly what you can expected about her, but she always surpass our exceptions. When you can put the correct notes in a performance, not always higher notes, and you can take them in the correct moment with the best precision, you are UNIQUE. Doesn't matter if another's singers can pick notes more higher or low than you if you have the power to make the best nobody can hear with the skills and attributes you have

Well, videos of her not growling are rare and hard to find, she always finds a way to incorporate them and for me that's what makes her singing boring most of the times along with excessive riffs and runs, she can definitely sing but is it as pretty and captivating as Whitney, Mariah, Céline... NO.

I understand why you want to react to this, because it is good in it's own right. But because of the passing of the actual artist I hoped you actually would react to Tina Turner herself. Maybe you could do a comparison on how Tina sang in the beginning of her career being part of the Ike and Tina Turner Revue in the 60's, the beginning of her solo career in the 80's and a performance from the last time she gave concerts in 2009. To actually hear her development and also to pay a fitting tribute to the Queen of Rock and Roll. I really hope you could make something like this happen.
I'm suprised you chose to celebrate Tina by viewing Beyonce's tribute instead of listening to one of Tina's many inspiring performances. Try Tina's version of A Change Is Gonna Come or or her 1985 performance of Help from her Private Dancer Tour in Birmingham.
Unfortunately for me she sounded out of tune, it might just be the sound quality and will have sounded better in person. I am not a fan of lot's of riffing either.
