They sing and that flag waves , makes u think about all the bad that our people endured. But yet now century's later we still singing our elders songs and still standing on this earth that is now called the United states , what once was our home. Makes me proud to be from strong people.
Denzhoni'go hadotaal!! :) In response to some of the people wondering about the shouting. In our Apache culture that is how we, mostly men show their pride, and honor to our ways. I once heard a well respected medicine man and his wife talk about the shouting and yelling at a sunrise dance. They said "don't just stand there you may be ailing, may be weak, may need a healing, shout it all out!" When they shout they feel the medicine, feel Bik'ehgo'ihi'dan's power. Gozhoo doleel

looking back, miss the home boyz from Cibecue, got home sick, been through tough times back then. Now in the US ARMY (active) seeing my old self, the far right. whenever Im done i want to sing with the group again just like old times
I really like the sound of this music, i jammed it one day at work while writing my letters and thinking about daily obstacles, then out of the blue I felt a heartwarming energy a rise from the sound and rythms, and i found myself thinking with a tear rolling down my cheek. I felt hurt, sadness, and within that instant the feelings of love, happiness and hope flowed within. I really liked that a lot. thank you for the singing the holy people put through you Mr. Tessay
i love how all these men are hidden behind the shadows of the night yet this particular beautiful song comes bursting into the nightlight and it makes you feel sooo damm alive, can you believe these men have such a unison of beauty coming from their voices - -fukn amazing
In the traditional ways in which Elder men sang, I recall the heart-felt and spiritual ways in which Nde' men expressed love from the meaning of the words expressed in song. Spirit raises up inside the Singers, who sing in a form that is collective love and pride for their People, land, food, community. This is very much an Nde' way. They show diyih and respect for Ancestors and diyin.
haha... the big guy is my brother from another. Thats funny though. As you can tell. He is expressing his pride in being Apache. All he is doing is having good time jamming and being happy. Thanks for listening though. I appreciate eveyone's views of these videos I have uploaded. BTW, I do have CDs that I sell personally. The song you've have just heard is on my 3rd . If you would like info on obtaining a CD. Inbox me. My CDs are all professionally studio recorded.

I am Navajo. My father's clan is Descheenii. I was told six generations before him, a six yr old Apache girl was raised by the Navajo Tribe in Dineh taah. Only told she was of Descheenii clan of the Apache Bear Clan. Is anyone familiar with this clan thru out Apache ? Would like very much to know which Apache Tribe it belongs to and find my relatives. My dad's family are tall and lean. My son and nephews are 6'4". Taller than most Navajos. Am told I dnt luk Navajo. My cousin mentioned they were left behind by Geronimo and his band. They migrated from the East thru what is now Gallup, along the Little Colorado River North thru Gap, Az. Geronimo and 5 other men continued towards Grand Canyon. He told them he will return for his family. They never saw him again. I do not know how true this story is. When I search thru Apache Tribes. I see resemblance of my dad and grandmother's features in Geronimo and Apache Women.

Is there a prohibition, traditionally, in Apache culture, regarding the whoops etc? Here in the north we hear that a lot in our dances, round dances, grass, (even the sundance) it is and always has been part of how we express ourselves. Makes it more lively and is an expression of good feelings. I guess I am not familiar enough with traditional Apache culture.
