A great idea for a scrap box project. What metalworker doesn't have all this material sitting around waiting for something useful to make. If I might make a suggestion. Go to a craft store and purchase a small sheet of foam rubber. Not thick. Costs about two bucks. Glue to the bottom and end up with a non-scratching grip .. This is too nice not to build. Thanks for sharing.
