Apparently Asmon doesn't realize how much lore there is in WoW. There's a whole WoW book series... who may seem inconsequential in the game may actually be strongly featured in the books. I thought this guy was supposed to be "the" WoW guy.. come on.
i think someone who would be an expert in all wow lore, read all the books and so on, wouldn't be someone charismatic enough to make videos for the internet, it would be someone closer to someone living in their parents basement, thus that knowledge is hard to come by.

i think he is playing a character,so i doubt he cared to spend time knowing lore. i saw someone on reddit say he was in a guild with him, and said he was a different guy off stream, and pretty chill. i also noticed when he was doing that cooking thing at apes house he was a pretty quiet guy,and seemed like a socially awkward person.
