Honestly, this is facts. I know that I am good and I want to play badly but I just don't know the people I need to to take things to the next level. I'm hopeful that more opportunities will come up in the future and I'll be able to work

I agree, networking, I have people and venues reaching out to me right now for events. I have always networked for years and never depended on Facebook or Twitch. I have good skills but others or 10 times better

allow me to play devil's advocate here. Many of the networking issues stem from the overall lack of education on our part as djs. Same with my channel, djs are more interested in the technical aspects of djing rather than the theoretical of programming dj sets, demographic navigation, etc. Save for a few places like you, me, and the road podcast, every platform is all about gear reviewing and how to set xyz equipment. We expect djs to network in a digital world where we had the advantage of no widespread internet.
