johnnywoo68 was an awesome trip. I thought the camp sites closer to Mooney Falls were the best. The middle bathroom had a ton of trash around it but I was closer to the last one so mostly used it.
Hi, quick question, do you think it's better if we pitch the tent first then hike back to Navajo falls or enjoy the falls before get to the campground? I am planning for my trip next week
Alex Thu, I would say it’s more common for people to hike out in the morning and others hiking in also in the morning. So more camp spots would be open if go set up camp first. However, if you set up camp first, you would have to walk close to 2 miles back up a sandy hill to get back to Navajo Falls. Me personally, I wanted to get camp set up. Then we hit Havasu and Mooney Falls. Day 2 we did the confluence. Day 3 was Navajo Falls, Havasu, and Mooney. Hope that helps! Let me know if you have more questions and be sure to check the link in the description box of this video for a post hike gear review.
Great info. We are 8 days out. I’m currently at 23 with no water.
