- Outlander saga is ending with its 8th season. But, this is not the end of the story. In fact, a brand new prequel series is on its way and it will have all the answers to complete this complicated puzzle.

I wanted more of Fergus and Marsali as well as Hal's story. Too much good storytelling left out!
I'm going to be honest here. I'm confident that no series can compare or come close to Outlander. I've got little interest in Blood of My Blood. I can't say I'm not going to watch but seeing actors portray characters that fans have come to love in Outlander, they have some mighty big shoes to fill. Having Diana write some scripts for the prequel is an excellent idea as she knows these characters backwards and forwards. Shee knows what pushes the fans buttons. But again I would rather have had another 3 seasons of Outlander.
Instead of a prequel why didn't they just continue on with the books that Diana has until book ten was completed. They had enough Content in book 9, to carry them all the way through to the completion of Book 10. I think something happened with the characters or with Diana. Or maybe it was just Sony or Starz that killed it all. Now they're trying to push Blood of My Blood. It just seems like these big networks can't seem to finish a story the way it should be completed. That doesn't say much to me. I am sad to see Outlander come to an end before Diana finishes the story.
Yes I feel the same. Why not finish all the books.I think we all wanted this.
I agree with the other comments. They should have just continued on with Outlander rather than some made-up uninteresting storyline.
Like other comments .. I would have preferred an honest and longer portrayal of the Outlander books. Though I love the actors and their portrayal of their characters, I have been disappointed in the way the books have been changed, especially as I can’t see rhyme or reason for it .. the books were a tremendous success (waiting for book 10 now) .. so I don’t understand the need to do it .. especially as it (in my opinion) the series fell far short of the original writings.
I wonder if we are going to find out who Clair gets her time travel genes from
Master Raymond might be her ancestor. Maybe grandfather is my guess. I see him as someone who lives through the stones
