i'm not saying the songs aren't well produced. But i don't know if I'm buying that anybody was up there actually making any noticeable adjustments with the hardware they had. Volume, ok i'm sure they had control over that. I'm sure they had control over a global low pass. But i just get the feeling they're up there pretending to make adjustments. Like air guitar kinda. I say that for two reasons. Most of the automation in these songs is super precise, not the type of adjustments you could necessarily make on the fly. Secondly, just watching the video, sometimes they were making adjustments and it just didn't really feel like it corresponded to much, whereas othertimes there was heavy automation, and it was obviously pre-recorded that way, and they were totally hands off, not touching anything. It's a show, I get it, they need to put on a show. but i would genuinely like to know what control they had over the songs on their sound boards. If u think i'm hating, go to 40:05 and tell me what his movement corresponded to!? Don't say the synth cas it wasn't that. wasn't the kick. what was it???? it looked like he was trying to make it seem like he had some control over the synth but if you listen..... nothing......
About "just watching the video" and "go to 40:05": it's not hard to see the video is out of sync with the sound... go to 18:53, 21:20 (and many more)...
