I know that they probably suck compared to professional products but I for example love to try new things with my hair but I don't have a lot of money that I can spent on expensive hair products. Daphnee Oh I consider texture in terms of the technique I use not color. For instance, I prefer foil highlights on curly hair and balayage for straight hair etc.
Remember people, these are just some standard "guidelines"...You don't have to follow them. Do what makes you comfortable and confident, and chances are that will be more noticeable and beautiful than any color combination. :)

So I have the same complexion, and eye color as you. Id say we're neutral, but depending on how black or red your brown eyes are will dictate whether you lean more towards warm or cool. I find I definitely look better in cooler colors (my hair is ashy brown too) but you may be different.

This is such a good question. I second it, Brittany! People tend to say reference your natural hair color for a jumping off point but I feel like mine washes me out almost.

Think of brown as a dark purple or orange if looking at the color chart. And she did mention different shades of brown eyes within the context of warm (honey/amber eyes) and cool (almost black) eyes
Doing the wrist test always infuriates me because I just can't decide that way - I have both blue and green veins, so I really think I'm probably more neutral. However, I tend to gravitate towards cooler clothing even though I look good in orange/rust clothes and I much prefer silver jewelry and can't stand gold jewelry on me. I'm light skin, mid-blue eyes and my natural hair is currently an ashy/dull dark-medium brown (I was super light blonde as a child) - from what I can see on charts, I went from a level 11 to a level 3/4, with not much warmth to my hair. My mother was the same but she went all the way to near cool black. She often coloured her hair to a dark auburn and that looked really good on her. I believe she was also neutral while my father was definitely cool.
Svartr I'm the same way. I feel like my complexion leans more towards cool as well-- Warm foundations look yellow on me. I've had hair colors from cool to warm, but my all time favorite colors have been blue-black and violet black. I may have to try that esspresso brown though, it looks stunning. That said, I *can* rock warm tones alright but I tenf to stick to the cool color family with my clothing too. According to the wrist test I'm neutral but everything else points to cool, so who knows? lol. At least I know I prefer cool tones on me.
I'm the exact same...my hair is dyed very dark brown and it seems to suit me quite well..despite having pretty much white hair as a child, blonde does not suit me.
Same, some info really confuses me. Like "brown hair is warm, fair skin is cool". So I should be a neutral. But then this video explained that there are cooler browns too, never heard that before, but it makes sense! And in that case, you can also have fair skin with yellow undertones, what probably is what I have. That explains why it's so hard to find foundation in my colour (all fair colours or too dark or too pink) and why every shade of pink looks horrible on me.
My eyes are light green, I have very fair skin with olive undertone. I find that reddish and warm browns work best for me, but an espresso brown works fine as well. I would feel that light skin with olive undertone can get away with a lot. The only thing that did not work too well for me was a gold blond. It way okay, but not perfect, because my brows are too dark.
It is my understanding that olive tones are usually considered neutral but you can lean cool or warm. I have medium-light skin with an olive/neutral undertone that leans warm. My friend is a bit lighter than me but also has olive undertones that lean cool. Neutral skin can be tricky sometimes.

Try seeing what you look good in. How does you skin look in light pastel blues and purples? Good? Then, chances are you are cool. If your skin pops in a red dress, then you're probably warm. If you can rock both equally amazing you are neutral. Hope I helped :)

Youngblood you can be olive. I have a very pale olive cool tone skin. I have to find foundation with green/yellow undertone to match my skin tone. But I'm definitely still cool tone even with the yellow undertone.

Shan sulli Welcome! I'm not a fan of Japanese straightening. I don't perform the service but I have clients who have had it done by someone else and their hair is very week and damaged. Not worth it. It kills your hair in my opinion.

Depends on the type of brown, not all brown eyes are the same. reddish or golden brown eyes look good with warm colors and deeper brown eyes look good with cool colors

On very cool and pale skin tones black works amazingly. My natural colour is pretty much black but I hate any other colour than blonde. Platinum. Platinum works very well on icy skin.
So there's a science behind why I've always wanted red hair! I'm a blonde, blue eyes, and neutral skin tone. You could get lighter blonde highlights with strawberry blonde or copper lowlights. That way you get a bit of colour and it lighter, this combo is also quite subtle as you keep some of the original colour. (Ask your hairdresser and friends as I can't physically see you)

I might be mistaken, but your neck seems to be a little more yellow toned than your face. If this is so, you are probably neutral. I am neutral with slightly more warm undertones, but have redness to my face.
Another good way to check is the jewelry test. Place a silver bracelet on one wrist and a gold on the other. If the silver compliments your skin more, you are cooler. If the gold looks better, you are warm. If both look good, you are neutral. If both look good, but one slightly more than the other... you are neutral leaning towards a cool or warm depending on which color looks slightly better.
I am so confused about what colours suit me, I'm pretty sure my undertone is warm I have quite olive skin, I tan easy and finding foundation is hard because they always look very pink on me, but at the same time I can wear bright lipsticks, they don't suit me whereas cool ones do, and I had red hair and brassy blonde hair and it just didn't look that great?! Sounds just like my mom. I'd describe her as warm-neutral. She can pull off some warmer colors, but nothing too golden, yellow, or yellow-green as it makes her look sallow. She looks good in most neutral greys and browns, bright jewel tones like turquoise and emerald, and deep colors like burgundy and dark royal/bright navy blue. Hope that helps. :)

I'm very very pale with neutral/cool undertones with greyish blue eyes. My natural hair colour when I was a kid was blonde but now it's very ashy brown/mouse colour. Blonde does not suit me anymore. I dyed my hair a very dark brown almost black and it seems to suit me quite well. So if you're struggling to find a hair colour you can try a dark brown. I would like any tips on good colours to wear for me though because I feel like nothing suits me.
I went through practically black, to chestnut, to a deep brown. It was a fun experience. Now I have that brown (lightened a bit) mixed with honey gold highlights, (sounds strange but its really pretty) and I also love it. Maybe try it!
I have blue veins but yellow skin. Pretty sure the yellow skin outweighs the blue veins so I would be more warm.. don’t know though lol. When you hold a torch to my skin it’s very yellow. I’m pale and blue veined still . None of this makes sense
Gina you are probably neutral! I got blue veins slightly teal but my skin is peachy and undertone is yellow. When I got a test at Sephora they said I was neutral with yellow undertones and you might be the same!

Try gold silver earrings test id gold earring suits you more names your skin pop out than you are warm undertone and if silver one suits you more than you are cool undetone if you have natural light blue eyes than cool undertone and if dark colour like black or brown than warm undertone😊 and if some warm some cool than you must be neutral
Best place to look for true to color for the tint of your veins is in the fold of your elbow. That area usually gets the least amount of sun and pretty accurate.
My skin tone is very white, I have a brown/kind of green eyes, my natural hair is very dark and my eyebrows too. Brown eyes are a combination of every color, so therefore they go with everything, so long as it is cool or warm depending on their skin tone.
Think of brown as a dark purple or orange if looking at the color chart. And she did mention different shades of brown eyes within the context of warm (honey/amber eyes) and cool (almost black) eyes

Doing the wrist test always infuriates me because I just can't decide that way - I have both blue and green veins, so I really think I'm probably more neutral. However, I tend to gravitate towards cooler clothing even though I look good in orange/rust clothes and I much prefer silver jewelry and can't stand gold jewelry on me. I'm light skin, mid-blue eyes and my natural hair is currently an ashy/dull dark-medium brown (I was super light blonde as a child) - from what I can see on charts, I went from a level 11 to a level 3/4, with not much warmth to my hair. My mother was the same but she went all the way to near cool black. She often coloured her hair to a dark auburn and that looked really good on her. I believe she was also neutral while my father was definitely cool.
Svartr I'm the same way. I feel like my complexion leans more towards cool as well-- Warm foundations look yellow on me. I've had hair colors from cool to warm, but my all time favorite colors have been blue-black and violet black. I may have to try that esspresso brown though, it looks stunning. That said, I *can* rock warm tones alright but I tenf to stick to the cool color family with my clothing too. According to the wrist test I'm neutral but everything else points to cool, so who knows? lol. At least I know I prefer cool tones on me.

Same, some info really confuses me. Like "brown hair is warm, fair skin is cool". So I should be a neutral. But then this video explained that there are cooler browns too, never heard that before, but it makes sense! And in that case, you can also have fair skin with yellow undertones, what probably is what I have. That explains why it's so hard to find foundation in my colour (all fair colours or too dark or too pink) and why every shade of pink looks horrible on me.

My eyes are light green, I have very fair skin with olive undertone. I find that reddish and warm browns work best for me, but an espresso brown works fine as well. I would feel that light skin with olive undertone can get away with a lot. The only thing that did not work too well for me was a gold blond. It way okay, but not perfect, because my brows are too dark.
It is my understanding that olive tones are usually considered neutral but you can lean cool or warm. I have medium-light skin with an olive/neutral undertone that leans warm. My friend is a bit lighter than me but also has olive undertones that lean cool. Neutral skin can be tricky sometimes.

Try seeing what you look good in. How does you skin look in light pastel blues and purples? Good? Then, chances are you are cool. If your skin pops in a red dress, then you're probably warm. If you can rock both equally amazing you are neutral. Hope I helped :)

Shan sulli Welcome! I'm not a fan of Japanese straightening. I don't perform the service but I have clients who have had it done by someone else and their hair is very week and damaged. Not worth it. It kills your hair in my opinion.

On very cool and pale skin tones black works amazingly. My natural colour is pretty much black but I hate any other colour than blonde. Platinum. Platinum works very well on icy skin.

You could get lighter blonde highlights with strawberry blonde or copper lowlights. That way you get a bit of colour and it lighter, this combo is also quite subtle as you keep some of the original colour. (Ask your hairdresser and friends as I can't physically see you)

I might be mistaken, but your neck seems to be a little more yellow toned than your face. If this is so, you are probably neutral. I am neutral with slightly more warm undertones, but have redness to my face.
Another good way to check is the jewelry test. Place a silver bracelet on one wrist and a gold on the other. If the silver compliments your skin more, you are cooler. If the gold looks better, you are warm. If both look good, you are neutral. If both look good, but one slightly more than the other... you are neutral leaning towards a cool or warm depending on which color looks slightly better.
I am so confused about what colours suit me, I'm pretty sure my undertone is warm I have quite olive skin, I tan easy and finding foundation is hard because they always look very pink on me, but at the same time I can wear bright lipsticks, they don't suit me whereas cool ones do, and I had red hair and brassy blonde hair and it just didn't look that great?! Sounds just like my mom. I'd describe her as warm-neutral. She can pull off some warmer colors, but nothing too golden, yellow, or yellow-green as it makes her look sallow. She looks good in most neutral greys and browns, bright jewel tones like turquoise and emerald, and deep colors like burgundy and dark royal/bright navy blue. Hope that helps. :)

I dyed my hair a very dark brown almost black and it seems to suit me quite well. So if you're struggling to find a hair colour you can try a dark brown.

Like warm autumn/spring vs Cool summer/Winter, and of course neutral! Us neutrals need direction more than most! I cannot figure the warms out for anything. Best place to look for true to color for the tint of your veins is in the fold of your elbow. That area usually gets the least amount of sun and pretty accurate.
