Yeonjun's song 'GGUM' is a celebration of determination and persistence. The word '껌 질겅' (pronounced 'ggum jil-geong') refers to the act of chewing gum, a metaphor for the way Yeonjun approaches his career and challenges. He compares his ability to maintain pace and energy, even in the face of difficulties, to the act of chewing gum, which is continuous and persistent.

@@officialvaldotv All right. The song or its lyrics may lose some meaning because in Korean there are many words that are difficult to express their meaning in another language and in the song there are many puns too. I saw that some reactors were a bit confused as to what he meant by the song. 🤗

A friend taught me how to read Korean, and one key rule is that you always pronounce the last vowel in every syllable. For example, his name is Yeonjun, which is pronounced YON-JUN, not YE-ON-JUN. Similarly, Beomgyu is pronounced BOM-GYU. Just like Taehyun and Taehyung from BTS, their names are pronounced TE-YUN and TE-YUNG.
For greetings, "Annyeong" is pronounced AN-YONG, not an-ye-ong. The word "Gwiyeoun" is pronounced GWI-YOWN, not gwi-ye-oun. However, there are other rules as well, and this guideline doesn't apply to all words-it's just the basics I've learned.

Ayyy, as a Dominican, I appreciated the little shoutout in the beginning of the video lmaoo
so this song is essentially about yeonjun's growing confidence of himself and his skills. also to his haters, basically saying wether you like him or not, this song will be stuck in your head like gum. And, haters can't do anything anymore, as he has reached his goals already and always making bangers.
This song isn't a brand deal, it is just using bubble gum as a metaphor. I do want the "have a nice fucking day" gum though from the video. Also his attitude in the music video and dance can be added to the hater message. He really doesn't care anymore what people think.

If you want to know more about TXT as people, I highly recommend the "The Ultimate Guide to TXT (2024 Update)" by Beomie Bear - you can always split it up (she even has it split into 6 parts. One for the entire group - and then smaller guides for each member.
If you want to see more TXT songs, I recommend 0x1 = Lovesong (rock-type feel), Frost (dance performance version bc they dance incredibly), Deja vu ( a newer song but it's slower- however, it has a solid trap base to it that I love), growing pains (hard rock but really good), and lastly tinnitus (afrobeat inspired)
