I get Voja's point, maibe there are too many options in the toolbar, but im getting used to it and for me, having all that options is a good thing. I would love to customize the toolbar as Voja says in his video because different people have differet likes
Voja, for note titles, the "Clear title" doesn't delete the title text. It just removes the title attribute; so you can lasso the title and apply the new title style. Yes, this is a pain in the rear, but at least you can make this change if you want to dedicate the time to do so. Thank you for all you do for the e-noteboook community!
Great review. As a daily user of an A5X, two things in this update have greatly improved my quality of life: (1) The Zoom/touch functions. I was one of those users who would activate the Zoom inadvertently absolutely constantly. (Marking up pdfs would do it all the time.) This glitch made it very irritating to use the device with certain documents, and this update has made that glitch disappear entirely. (2) The updated toolbar. Yes, it's more cluttered, but if I remember correctly, in the previous version, you couldn't have more than just one pen preset. That meant that to change from a pen to a highlighter, or from a thin pen to a thick pen, required multiple taps, which was pretty annoying when marking up documents and needing to switch from annotating to highlighting every few seconds. Now there are three presets, which is a huge improvement, even if it takes up some screen space. Having the option to remove the toolbar entirely is a nice option for those who prefer to remove the clutter out of sight.
I am so impressed with my A5x and he team behind it. I’m an Apple fanboy and the SN is my favorite device. That’s saying a lot. Yes, my first reaction to the toolbar was that it is “busy.“ Customization would be a good fix to meet everyone’s needs. On the other hand, as you mentioned, it is very practical.
@ 6:08 - I strongly agree with you, sir. I do not like the new tool bar. Way too cluttered. The old one was much cleaner! Your suggestion to have the option to customize the tool bar makes a lot of sense.
Thanks for doing this. I didn't even know there was an update. The verdict is that the toolbar icons are thick and ugly, but the functionality is really, really good. I like needing fewer clicks to get what I need out of the toolbar. I like hiding the toolbar. I like moving it around. So positive review for the update. Supernote continues to be an awesome platform.
I agree that the tool bar should have been left alone. That change irked me. Hopefully they can implement a change allowing the used to choose which applications they want. I should add that otherwise I love the update, especially the added title shades and the ability to move pages between notebooks.
I'm happy with the ability to move a page to a different notebook but really, really wish it was possible to move multiple pages at once. Moving a whole section to a different notebook is still really painful.
Voja, another excellent review, thank you. I am a new Supernote user and was wondering how I can copy notes from a notebook to a PDF document (example, a daily planmer) or vice versa? I can't seem to do this at present.
Thank you. Indeed, at the present time the laso copy buffer is not shared between the documents and notes, so it is not possible to do that on the Supernote, but I do believe that this is on their roadmap, so it should be a part of an update, but when exactly, I can't say, as I don't know.
I think I will get a Supernote A5X. Do you know whether Supernote has a unified clipboard? E.g. Copying a section from a PDF and then pasting it into a blank notebook or other app.

Thanks for showing that the page numbers and file name can actually be hidden! They were figuratively in the way of my work templates!

Yes, many users in the Supernote Reddit group have mentioned that they would like to be able to customize the new toolbar.

Yes, if you go into the full screen mode by tapping the icon in the upper right corner.
