- Input: blue bar
The violet gear is stationary.
The blue and green gears are fixed with the blue and green bars respectively.
When the blue bar rotates, the orange rack moves in the runway in the blue bar and causes the yellow gear (fixed to block consisting of the yellow plates and brown axles) to rotate.
The block rotates and makes the green bar rotate two times faster.
The gear-rack drive can be replaced with a timing belt or chain drive of transmission ratio 1/1.
Advantage: the transmission is hidden.
Folding barrier is used for height limited place.

If you had the linkage going diagonally from the bottom of the gear in the post to the top of the gear in the elbow, would it raise the extension part to be parallel with the ground instead of folding it inwards?
