I have to say this, just by you picking those worms up by your hands, girl You are definitely a real gardner!

Sis, you could plant onions near the greens. It keeps the moth and worms away. Also, spray with an organic insecticide thats made with daisies for additional protection. I can send pix...it helped me greatly. I can send the fellow gardener's video.

Thanks for the tips! I normally use BT, but I must have flipped when I decided to pull these worms off by hand! I’ll google the this organic pesticide. I wasn’t aware one was made when daisies. Thanks 🙏🏾

Mad respect for the bug removal bare handed. Girl you so silly though. I still get the wiggle dance when I remove bugs with my 6 in tongs! 😂 Have a blessed day ❤

    Everything looks good 👍..
I did this for my cabbage plants and squash last year as well, I daily picked worms and squash bugs and dropped them in a glass jar with half apple cider vinegar and water.
I kept the jar close to by garden bed because the will eat your food crop down too the ground, yes we all are officially a gardener to the heart too pick up the worms like they are a hand full of nuts or candy..
Happy gardening 2024 , yes we are proud of you ❤️

That was funny. 😆 I did have them in my hand like a hand full of nuts. 😂 I’m dreading these squash bugs.

Consider carrying a container of soapy water or alcohol to drop them in. Truthfully it’s probably because I couldn’t pick them off by hand like that! Mad props to you!! 😂😂😂

I’m definitely going to get a container with soap water, because they crawl so fast.

It’s the kale that they’re attracted to!!! If you don’t remove the kale quickly… the worms will destroy everything else. 😊 Good luck!

I have pretty nice success with putting moth balls in the garden. The white cabbage moth just flies right by. Before, I would have to wash off the eggs before they hatch, but of course you always miss a few. Then🐛🐛🐛I hate them! 👎🏾

My grandmother used to use moth balls in the closet, never thought of adding moth balls in the garden, but it makes perfect sense.

@@TexasBluebonnetHomestead Hi, Yeah I put them in old socks. I cut the sock down & make a little baggie put in some moth balls, twist them closed with some rubber wire from the $Tree, and hang them around the garden. You can use some pieces of cloth to make a baggie & rubber bands, whatever you have.

Get some BT and save yourself some heartache, frustration and work.

It’s a lot of work, this is definitely not my everyday strategy, but I was so frustrated by the amount of worms. I wanted them off immediately.
