They are free to choose during this time and is when the final sifting judgement for sin will occur. The city foursquare descends and his faithful bride reigns with him for eternity. The earth is done away with.
Some "Christian leaders" didn't want the Book of James because it meant the people had to take responsibility to WORK at their faith, instead of staying home and just believe. Luckily, they were overruled and the book remained in the Bible.

The late 4th century councils were all local or provincial, not ecumenical. They had no binding power. Athanasius' canon only had Baruch and Jerome excluded all of them and for Jerome this is post Carthage 397. Trent was the first time the rcc made a dogmatic declaration of the canon for catholics.
So who took books out of the Bible? Looking primarily at you, denominations of the Protestant Reformation. There is also more to "The Bible" than the New Testament. The Ethiopian Church for instance has at least five books not included in the New Testament versions of Eastern Orthodox, Catholic and Protestant Bibles. The Bible comes in many forms. Just finding a reliable translation can be a major challenge.
