It's a difficult thing to accept we can't do what we used to be capable of. I am 52 now and get pissed off that I aren't as strong or fast as I used to be. Even when I have dreams at night I am always in my twenties ☹️

Nearly seventy, and disabled and at times I feel like giving up, but refuse to do so because it is against my nature, as a fully grown man, to do so. The easiest way is to give in. I have been fighting the courts since 2018, on behalf of a pensioner, courts that know that I am right, but refuse to act. At some point the courts are going to block me altogether, but until that time I must take a deep breath and continue to fight for justice
That's a good shout, I'm.52 training all my life my shoulders and knees are gone, in my head in a lot younger, but my body let's me know I'm not, you are a legend Billy, you have nothing more to prove, age gets us all in the end. Just keep taking care of your family .

I was skiving this morning when I should have been working at my computer. A 93 year old man was sharing his story about running the marathon 40 times. He ran his 1st marathon aged 53. Just an idea Bill. He's old enough to be your Granda. You've got 11 months to train for London. 🏃♂️ 🏃♀️ 🏃♂️
You get to a point in life where nothing matters anymore.... reputations/money/and other peoples thoughts on you/and other people's drama.... just keep doing what's right for you Billy and look after yourself joe and family 👍

Wise words Billy. Currently had 2nd lot of surgery down to training/working out like I’m 30 yrs younger like you said. Will learn to just do enough to stay fit and not obsess again. Just read your second book in two reads, really good and great points on addiction and the terrible ‘justice’ system 👏 stay positive

Billy i am 60 in October and have had a good life . I spent 7 yrs backpacking and picking up bits of work around the world i was a poor traveler but had a amazing time doing it . Lately i have been wanting to sell up every thing i own to do it again and i heading of to southeast asia in October But i know my limits now at 60 so i have to adjust to staying in cheap digs and condos instead of stealth camping and carrying a big rucksack with a tent my brain wants to but my body doesn't so its a similar thing with you we have to change to survive and adjust we dont have to stop doing what we love tho 🙏👍

I used to think that I had gotten through years of addiction and mental health issues completely unscathed, but then I realised that is nonsense. I've said before, people who have never been serious addicts have no idea how easy it is to lose a decade! All the best mate.

I suppose the acceptance that your not going to have that last fight it like accepting I have used my last drug. Whatever you decide though I am sure we your viewers are with you.
