I found this area in July of 2021. I had not planned on exploring this area, but at the time it was relatively smoke free compared to other areas of Nevada and Oregon. I was totally blown away by the beauty. Will definitely be back one day.

Very beautiful place, I grew up at the base of the mountain. The only drawback is access is limited because of private property.

Can you do any backcountry travel in the ruby mountains? Kind of like 4 x 4 routes just for some off grid camping? I went to the Rubys probably 30 years ago and I went to someone’s ranch and apparently their ranchhand shot a wolverine and they had it hanging on the fence there used to be apparently a lot of wolverines there it was sad to see that animal killed and I’m hoping they’re still there and protected. It’s so beautiful there

Drove past these a few days ago passing through Nevada and was in awe. Now keen to explore properly and your video gives great background. The diversity within the US is incredible. Never expected an alpine landscape like this in Nevada.

Beautiful! I live about a 6-7 hour drive away. What time of year was this video taken?

Thinking of buying some property adjacent the Rubies. Why don't more people live in this area compared to other parts of Nevada?

My grandson and I tent camped there one night while traveling to meet my daughter in Oregon. We hiked for a few hours, before we headed out to Oregon. How I wished we had more time to explore.

Do you think this place is free of fire haze? I was gonna go hike at Kearsage Pass but it's too hazy.
