LISTEN, as someone whose main interest is true crime (from podcasts to documentaries) and thriller/suspense shows and movies, I highly doubt it was Doyoung (Kim Steward) who did it. Based from this episode alone, most of the evidence does lean toward Haechan (Buddy), and Doyoung was really smart in deducting the evidence he got from Buddy's room! Most of the "evidence" piled against Doyoung was purely circumstantial, as he had a solid alibi from the time of the murder. The screw driver in Buddy's room is the strongest evidence so far. And also, one thing i've learned from watching a bunch of crime shows, is to always discredit the suspect. So far, Buddy's explanation to his fake ID is pretty sketchy, which makes his character also sketchy! Which means, he could be lying about his true relationship with Newbie. EDIT (okay shoutout to fellow crime nerds!! i didn’t know we were a lot of us here lol): a lot of you are saying that Kun is the most sus and upon rewatching a few parts of the video, i think so too. The girlfriend or maybe the EX girlfriend of Kun DEFINITELY has ties to Newbie. She might even be his fiancé. Also, he claimed that him and Newbie were just acquaintances when it turns out they even went out together a few times. They might be closer than Kun was letting on. Other highly likely suspects i think would be Jeno (Manager), although i think he may be an accomplice. And Renjun. It didn’t really show much in this episode, but his alibi was REALLY off and why did he come back after he delivered the juice to his brother? His answer didn’t really sound convincing. And if Mindhunter taught me one thing, it’s that most criminals go back to the crime scene. And it looks like in the next ep, we get to know more background on Renjun and Kun. 👀 Anyways, I can't wait for the next episode omg! It's really entertaining to see Doyoung and Haechan's brains go at it lmao. NCT never fails to deliver quality content yesss. (not me writing an entire essay though lmao)

He does have a strong motive. Something that I also came to realize is that Renjun barely knows about his brother's relationships with other people. That means it doesn't matter that Renjun knows Haechan was friends with him since they were kids, they could've easily gotten in a fight without him knowing and since Haechan obviously struggles financially, his money crisis could've led to him showing his true colors to his friend. Therefore Renjun wouldn't have any idea if the two were on bad terms. Another theory I have is that it could've been two people involved in the murder all along. But so far there's no evidence backing that up lol.
yeah, it's very unlikely Doyoung since his story and his motive is 'too obvious' (unless the pd make it very boring lol), and they don't gather enough evidence for the others like Kun and Jaemin, too, there's something about Kun and his girlfriend that they don't find out yet. and true, usually there's gonna be a motive to kill for every single suspect so usually everyone is suspicious and should be suspected, it's too early to single out a person. They need to find out what type of powder/substances that is used to poisoned the dead, and what kind of allergy that is harmful to him. They really need to read the medical checkup thoroughly to be sure of it. Also yeah, the screwdriver is actually could be the biggest hint because they need to find the tools that the murderer used to punch the cap bottle and they need to see whether it fit the cap or something. Not sure if the pd gonna make it super complicated or make it simpler because this is their first time playing but let's see. Can't wait for tomorrow!

i love crime scene the show this is based off of so i was so excited for this. firstly Kun looks so fine wtf. i mean he always does but yeah loving this. also loving doyoung in a suit cuz neos in suits is my weakness. but also i really found myself trying to figure out this case hahaha. like i scribbled notes on paper trying to keep up with everyone. i hope SM keeps up with this kind of stuff. I have been into kpop for over a decade now but nct really is one of the groups who always have such cool and original content. also it gives us stuff to watch and miss them less while they get to have proper rest without worrying about fandom retention

That means it doesn't matter that Renjun knows Haechan was friends with him since they were kids, they could've easily gotten in a fight without him knowing and since Haechan obviously struggles financially, his money crisis could've led to him showing his true colors to his friend. Therefore Renjun wouldn't have any idea if the two were on bad terms.
Another theory I have is that it could've been two people involved in the murder all along. But so far there's no evidence backing that up lol.
yeah, it's very unlikely Doyoung since his story and his motive is 'too obvious' (unless the pd make it very boring lol), and they don't gather enough evidence for the others like Kun and Jaemin, too, there's something about Kun and his girlfriend that they don't find out yet. and true, usually there's gonna be a motive to kill for every single suspect so usually everyone is suspicious and should be suspected, it's too early to single out a person. They need to find out what type of powder/substances that is used to poisoned the dead, and what kind of allergy that is harmful to him. They really need to read the medical checkup thoroughly to be sure of it. Also yeah, the screwdriver is actually could be the biggest hint because they need to find the tools that the murderer used to punch the cap bottle and they need to see whether it fit the cap or something. Not sure if the pd gonna make it super complicated or make it simpler because this is their first time playing but let's see. Can't wait for tomorrow!

Like they met up along the way 🧐 Renjun would definitely need more motive to killing his brother (which may be revealed in the next eps). But also, Jeno (the Manager) is also suspicious to me due to the embezzlement and he was one of the few people who knew of Newbie’s allergies! He may actually know what EXACTLY Newbie was allergic to as his supervisor

i love crime scene the show this is based off of so i was so excited for this. firstly Kun looks so fine wtf. i mean he always does but yeah loving this. also loving doyoung in a suit cuz neos in suits is my weakness. but also i really found myself trying to figure out this case hahaha. like i scribbled notes on paper trying to keep up with everyone. i hope SM keeps up with this kind of stuff. I have been into kpop for over a decade now but nct really is one of the groups who always have such cool and original content. also it gives us stuff to watch and miss them less while they get to have proper rest without worrying about fandom retention
