    @Spartanz1170 cos toshihiko sensei composed to after SEED. This was actually in GSD. A piano track called shinjirabera. I have the piano score for it too.

    This is quite a shameless rip off of the song Con te partirò by Andrea Bocelli. Also known as 'Time To Say Goodbye'.

      In Turn A Gundam, one of the tracks is heavily inspired by the theme from Patton.

      There's a similar chord progression, but I wouldn't call it a ripoff.

      They have some similarities in the chord progression, but not completely, and the verse is quite different.
      This sometimes happen in music.
      Also, let's imagine for an instant, it where the original con te partiro. They would have paid a fortune to be able to use this song, and the voices and theme in general would have been off. So for this purpose, to rework this song in this would have been plenty acceptable.
