Although I'm not Ichigo's biggest fan, this part of the Anime sticks with me. In an art form borderline defined by "ludicrous self-awareness based power ups", this moment stands alone as the first time A. A protagonist's theme is remixed to this degree and B. The first time a power shift was so dramatic, it flat out changed the tone of the entire series. Listen to that. There'd never been anything remotely like this sound anywhere before hand. Zero foreshadowing. Ichigo arrives, and he's so damn next level he functionally qualifies as being from a whole different anime, to the point that the score had to go from strings and vocals to techno and metal to keep up.
You just didn’t watch Bleach properly. There was no foreshadowing?? Bullshit!! What’s the work of Hogyoku? To eradicate the boundaries between Hollows and Shinigamis. This was said time and time again repeatedly by Aizen during Soul Society arc and many other arcs. Aizen knowing this, used Hogyoku to transcend to another level by fusing the powers of both Hollows and Shinigamis. . I’ll use the word “Transcendence” to generalize Aizen’s butterfly form and Ichigo’s dangai form. Basically there’re four stages of Zanpakutō. Shikai is the first release. It is obtained when an Asuchi aka a normal sword is kept alongside a reaper until it gets its own lifeform spirit what we call Zanpakutō. Shikai is unlocked when a Shinigami is able to call the name of his Zanpakutō. Bankai is the second release which is obtained when reaper can force his Zanpakutō spirit to obedience/total domination. The third stage is called Transcendence, where the process of fusing of reaper and his Zanpakutō takes place evident by how Ichigo and Aizen’s swords were merged with their hands. Only Aizen and Ichigo have unlocked this phase. In order to obtain Transcendence, one must fuse with Shinigami and Hollow powers. Aizen used Hogyoku to fuse with Hollows’ powers to get a Transcendence. Meanwhile, Ichigo, an anomaly born with Hollow’s powers due to Masaki’s past obtained Transcendence naturally due to his dual powers. He only needed to train hard to obtain his Dangai form unlike Aizen who needed to use Hogyoku to obtain Hollow’s powers. It’s simple. You just have to pay attention while watching Bleach to understand. I can explain Mugetsu too if you want.

I just imagine the Soul Society 1000 years after everyone. Technology advances are more frequent. New shikais and bankais, new abilities and new enemies. When souls infuse their powers with technology, the possibilities are limitless. A futuristic soul society comes to mind as well as the final battle between a future "Ichigo" and a future "Aizen" comes into full swing. This theme plays to reminisce the first battle, now that would be gold.
Maybe not a future Ichigo since Ichigo is a human he will die but maybe after he dies he becomes a full shinigami and later his descendent also dies and comes to soul society and doesn't know anything about the shinigami and soul society and Ichigo teaches his descendent all of this and his descendent fights Aizen
Just discovered this and I gotta say, I know its origins and whatnot... But this could pass off as a soundtrack for the Resident Evil Mercenaries Modes. Also great music for doing boxing, playing fighting games, FPS games...I'm rambling. Fucking Badass man, you got my sub
