Its so nice to see you prioritise healthy food on a low income. I live in Cape Town South Africa, and food prices here are also exorbitant. But i really want to prioritise healthy alternatives for cooking, like Olive oil and/or coconut oil. and things like that. I just need to figure out how to fit it in my budget and what not. But great video, hope to see more of these, theyre really inspiring❤
Nobody should be judging someone. EBT doesn’t mean the person isn’t working or hasn’t worked. It means they aren’t making enough to provide the basics for their family. More and more Americans are struggling, whether they are working or not and many need the EBT just to get by. Circumstances can change for anyone whether it be health related or job related. So don’t just others because tomorrow it could be you that needs the help.
Exactly. I dealt with such a bad mess in 2023 with no long job stability and I couldn’t get any sort of way to apply for food stamps or unemployment because of everything they were asking for and stuff I couldn’t get them. Unfortunately the system is not very kind to people living alone with no kids. Eventually I was able to work things out and got my current job at the beginning of 2024 while digging myself out of a massive hole being 3 months behind on rent and on the verge of eviction.
I love how the girls had a rampage on the goodies ❤ wow those rices , I bet they taste good ❤ I like the coffee creamer ,I saw you used that with your mushroom elixer the other day! Yay the seaweed snacks ,tasty .. well done mamma❤awe everyone looks happy ❤
Very nice haul. I love the Yasso bars. I haven’t tried monk fruit yet. I use Splenda mostly. This may seem like a silly question but does it have an aftertaste? Do you bake with it? I love butternut squash. Are you going to make soup?
I think you got lots of healthy choices. Excellent. It is important to get the healthiest foods for your family even though you are low income. It shows you are a good mom. I still love your byes!!!! it makes me smile every time. 👍👍☮️☮️
Oh, that coffee creamer sounds delicious! I've never seen that flavor, I need to find it. I love making my coffee taste bougie at home. 😂 The yogurt bars look delicious, too. 💙
Temporarily disabled person on EBT here. Thank you for normalizing it and not being ashamed. We shouldn't have to be. I pay taxes too. I'm sorry for the few nasty comments you have to deal with.
This lazy old gal makes crustless quiche! What we don’t eat I cut into serving sized pieces and freeze on a tray or old pie tin and once frozen, place in a ziplock bag.
Wow, all the negativity tonight. If you are that triggered by what she buys for her family with differing health issues, please find a channel that better suits your needs. Not all foods can be purchased from the store brands. Take it from a person who has celiac, multiple other food allergies and autistic sensory issues. Store brands don't always work. Gluten free items are not cheap and food allergies limit what is left. So sometimes, all that is left are name brand or organic. You don't always know what is really going on in a person's life. Her being on TH-cam doesn't give you a blanket license to be nasty.
Tonight was way more negative than I typically deal with. I think when people hear EBT sometimes they just expect people to buy food a certain way. It’s okay though, I appreciate your love for me. I think some people should accept the help, but some have too much pride that need it so they suffer unnecessarily. I hope you’re having a great night, I’m not impacted by the comments tonight. I did feel a slight trigger but I know it’s not about me, people are mirrored back themselves, and what they choose to see based on their perspectives about the world. Luckily I feel grounded, and very grateful tonight. Big hugs!! ❤️💫🙏
My daughter is vegan due to food allergies& environmental allergies. My husband likes meat, and I prefer organic fresh veggies because I feel better eating them, so we are really diverse eaters. I tend to make a lot of rice rather than packaged rice, soak beans& cook that way to save money, and plant a garden. I agree with Mary Beth though, that the organics make her feel better and are better for her children. If you are a busy person with young children it is hard to not buy convenience foods some times.
Every family needs emergency food. Mom is sick, visit to hospital for a family member. And other reasons. Being unprepared and set a family back moneywise.
I tend to look for a lot of organic items because it just feels better for me, but glad you’ve found what works best for you. Hope you’re having a good night. ❤️
WTH! A lot of name brand items!! Wish I could’ve done that. When I was on EBT with me and 4 kids I bought almost all store brand. Wish I had gotten that much in food stamps. Barely lasted a month. People get way too much in food stamps anymore.
I’m sorry you struggled, but why wish someone else struggle just because you had to? We’re at a time where resources are available. This is what the generations before us worked so hard for. My food stamps last my family 3 weeks each month, and I choose not to buy garbage food because we deserve to eat healthy if the money is given to us to use. Sending you love, you don’t have to be bitter sis. ❤️
I don’t agree, the cost of food is astronomical. Eating healthy is wise. My grandma used to say if you scrimp on the table you’ll spend at the doctor. Don’t be so judgmental.
No one is getting "too much" in food stamps 😂 are you kidding me??! Somebody choosing to buy healthy options over junk food does not mean they are receiving a large amount of benefits. That simply isn't the case whatsoever. Your comment is rude and untrue.
@@au_barbIf you read my comment correctly I said nothing about eating healthy or junk food. I SAID NAME BRAND FOODS. Name brands cost a lot more than store brand. By the way, we ate healthy too. Didn’t buy a lot of junk food.

Though I agree with some of your food choices, I think buying basics like 5# of potatoes for $1.99 is a better buy and will last longer than the tiny bags.
@Freaysclaw56 where are you buying potatoes? I got that a few weeks ago as an exceptional one day sale. Normally 5lbs is $3.50 at best on sale, about $7 regular price.
@@niki9638 Good stuff right? I actually bought the ear gauges, and nose ring but thanks for noticing how rad they are! Hope you’re having a lovely night too hun - from your kind white trash friend 😂❤️☀️
Not just your money but some of us don't complain about it. Stop and think about this. If everyone had the same amount of money you would have to find something else to complain about. Calling someone white trash is ridiculous. God made us all the same

@@deter007 Thank you! Hope you’re well! ❤️
I would not use the Graham cookie pie shell for quiche…that’s more for pies. You will want to use a frozen savory pie crust! 👍🏻
I hear ya but we like using the graham cracker crust for it ❤️
