I think Marshall made really great reads this game, Granted Louisville did make it easy, but still a great game by him. Being I’m from Kentucky, I am a UK fan, but I am fascinated with GT and their flexbone option offense. Always good to see Louisville get thrashed by any team! Thanks Alex.
@@Flexbone101 Like you said, it would have to intrigue him, especially if not a power 5 school. I remember watching Hawaii back in the day and noticed they were doing some creative things then started following him at Georgia Southern's Adrian Peterson days. Come to find out he was the Offensive Coordinator at Hawaii. It sure was a good run......Thank you Sir
I love watching these. I have a question though. The play at 16:30 is marked as a QB sweep. It appears that we are leaving the defender outside of the WR unblocked. He is taking the AB. Why is this considered a sweep and not an option?
The wr here is called a wing right, he stays unblocked initially because the wider right offensive player will be the tail back, the tb can receive a toss ( its unlikely as too risky if ever the qb keeps the football after crossing the scrimmage) the play is called a sweep because all the linemen switch their block to their respective opponents to the right, you’ll see if you watch the play in slow motion all the blocks are made to the right like if they were sweeping the field...
I really enjoy what you put up. I get a little confused on some of the plays. The second and third plays are marked as Zone Dive, but the third play looks like a QB Follow. Or am I missing something?
I noticed the same... That one looks like a QB Follow, also, on 2:01, it says Belly option, but they arent optioning anybody, the whole DLine is blocked, the even did a crossblock at the point of attack, I believe that one also is a QB Follow...
The most beautiful offense in the world when it works.
When Georgia Tech was fun to watch.
@Tony Campbell, I said the same thing. I follow Army for the option, Tech is hard to watch now.
This game is pretty much a masterclass on how to run this offense. Nearly flawless execution, even with the backup in the game.
I'll still be cheering for the Jackets, but I'll miss this offense. I'll probably be watching more Navy and Army.
Here,here !
They still don’t run it like Paul Johnson did
Oh man I miss Paul Johnson and that Triple option..

Its really the wing-t from high school.
Wonderful offense! Ran it 20 years as a coach, and we won 5 championships with this.
Love it Coach! I’d love to talk to you more about it at some point if you’re open to it
Time to bring back the triple option.

wow. Great reading by QB. A masterclass in both ISV (Triple option) and midline double-option. Then Coach Johnson pummeled the D with Trap.
Seeing Louisville running a 3-4 bear but using their SS as another LB. Makes it effectively a 3-5. It seems like a sound strategy.
Nice to see TO get some play.
SO IMPRESSIVE! LOVE IT GO ALEX CARRICK
@@Flexbone101 I HOPE PAUL JOHNSON KEEPS HIS JOB-YOU THINK HE IS SAFE?
Will Paul Johnson ever get back in coaching

I’ve always said you have to get to the option, before the option gets to you.
Balls starts on the quarterbacks hands
My coach wants me to learn all positions cuz I’ll be playing them all
I watched this game live...couldn't believe how poorly Louisville defended them. Really second rate.

Late reply lol but that was actually the zone option. The new Flexbone fad.

Their receivers are useless 🤣🤣
They are forced to be actual team players by blocking. They aren't the selfish showboats that most receivers are these days.
Dumb comment. You call yourself "Football 223" and yet you can't appreciate good blocking?
