I bought a set of pry tools and picks from amazon because I have to take the whole dash off my prius to fix it. They could be really helpful for making changes in your vhicle.
I am thinking If you added an X to the back, spanning both shelves it will give the top shelf more stability. Industrial velcro could also help top shelf from tipping.
@@evelyndunham9994 all mini vans are different I'm sure but the one in my van is 81/2 inches deep by 26 inches long just have to trace the bottom shelf like I did and the top part just measure from the front of the bottom to the back by the window

I added 3M double sided tape to the back fixed the tipping now it's real strong and not going anywhere
Is that the same size pillow your needing for the pup so you have more room to sleep
