I wonder if there could be a not awful explanation to her injury and rescue. As a young adult, one of my biggest fears is that one of my animals will get hurt and I won't have the money to get them treated. I could see a reality where maybe she got out of the house, got hit by a car or something, and then they left her somewhere where they hoped people would be able to help her. It sounds crazy, but if you go into a vet office and say "I don't have the money to get this animal treated, but they are obviously suffering, please help" alot of times they will just tell you to open a credit card, or did you think about getting pet insurance, etc. My mom's cat passed away from a respiratory infection because I couldn't afford to get him treated, and I wish I had thought about just leaving him on a vet's doorstop. The hope is that if there isn't a person to argue with for payment, they might just do the right thing. regardless, I'm glad she's a good addition to your home and I wish you both well
@@NoxxyGizmo that is definitely a possibility, especially considering that she does try to run out the door to make us chase her back into the house often. My former roommate had her cat get hit by a car and went into 8 thousand dollars In debt to get him treated, the vet bills are crazy! We will never know what happens, just the fact that she was found in a box and couldn’t walk doesn’t seem like a coincidence, but we will never know what actually happened. The important thing is she is healthy now and can walk again, and is actually quite athletic! Thank you for your kind words!
