It honestly isn’t. It’s very weak with a reload rivaling that of the *KV-2’s,* for way less penetration and alpha damage. The KV-1 itself is also sluggish and the rear side armor nerf ruined it. To be genuinely good the howitzer needs a serious increase to it’s HE pen and moderate increases to its premium pen, a slightly shortened reload, and the KV-1 itself needs to have its rear lower side armor returned to 75mm.
