Lake Victoria counts as a Lake but settling next to the River gives you a Hydroplant with alot of river tiles that are affected. so its Hammers vs Observatory decission
Around 11:30 ish you killed a Chinese scout so it wouldn't spot Lake Victoria. The thing is I have often spotted Natural Wonders from 4 tiles away. Granted I know this probably depends on the terrain between you and the wonder, but his scout was standing on a hill. Are you 100% certain that his scout could not already see the wonder from that tile?
+Mindless Ambience Nope. Wonders are basically taller mountains for sight, you see them at an increased distance. He may have/probably did see it. But I didn't realize it at that moment.
I think settling Tlatelolco on the ivory might have been worth considering - it would've picked up the wine and the sheep. Only downsides - losing a deer and not getting the camp food
Lake Victoria actually counts as a mountain for building an observatory. It does not count as a mountain for building Machu Pichu or Neushwanstein however, similar to the actual mountain wonders. I believe El Dorado also acts this way, but not the other non-mountain natural wonders.
funnily enough though if you build the mountain wonders in a city next to lake victoria it will sometimes visually place those wonders in the middle of the lake and it looks pretty funny. it also will place those wonders on any other natural wonder tile, even the other non-mountain ones. Some of my favorite situations like this of mine have been machu pichu on top of Krakatoa and Neuschwanstein on top of Solomons mines
Just tested this in IGE and I was wrong. El Dorado and Lake Victoria WILL NOT allow for an observatory, but old faithful, solomons mines, fountain of youth, and barringer crater WILL allow them. I could have sworn I was able to build observatories with those before but I guess not
It does. It basically sets a difficulty for a game similarly to a singleplayer. So if it is deity, everyone has less happiness and barbs are much harder to fight (higher = harder). Game checks for the hardest difficulty among players so it doesn't matter if someone has a settler and other guy has deity, they both gonna have deity difficulty.
@@Nacjotyp oh wow i didnt know that. thats cool. and yea that makes sense, but does it also count for if there is one CPU in the game and one person is on diety, that CPU gets all the Diety buffs?
During the draft, they banned all the Tier 1 Civs, then each player got one ban (in order) then they chose unique Civs (in the same order as the bans).
Please note China; Archek Brauer is likely a stream-follower of Filthyrobot, as many so-called "unknown" players seem to be. Like Tank, and others, later on they join the game and if close to him they act as easy prey. No other explanation as to why Filthyrobot could kill a China scout, then make peace without a single question from Archek Brauer about the attack. If you watch enough of these videos you would be very surprised with how many players near Filthyrobot don't do much except being targets for Filthyrobot; to get some easy new land and another capitol. Some of these players even build a lot of Wonders, instead of units, to better help Filthyrobot. It is a clear pattern I have seen in the games.
The "clear pattern" I see is you being full of it. You said this same kind of stuff about games where it clearly wasn't true. Game 29 you said a player was throwing their game to benefit @filthyrobot yet that player stayed in the game after losing their capital just to delete their Great Prophet before quitting. Deleted workers and sold all the buildings in the capital. Yeah "collusion" LOL

Actually lake victoria counts as a lake in terms of sight so you only see it if you are in the regular sight range
Based on when filthy's scout saw it, you have to be closer.
I always find it hard to Cole's and Zempt's voices apart when they aren't in the same game but when they are it seems so clear

Interestingly lake vic doesn't get +2 yield from floating gardens
whats the difference in each person's personal "difficulty" from the start screen? like everybody is immortal but does that mean anything?
It does. It basically sets a difficulty for a game similarly to a singleplayer. So if it is deity, everyone has less happiness and barbs are much harder to fight (higher = harder). Whitch civ's are banned in the group?

What is your opinion on Jaguar vs Scout turn 1 ?
***** Scout, ancient ruins are too important!
What's the point of saving your shot in your capital?
😁
jag-yoo-err ._.

This is one helluva conspiracy theory lol. I don't think Civ 5 streams generate the same kind of revenue as the WWE hahaha
That guy is a mega troll
@@UserR2D2-je6nbthe awesome replays are why we're here, but laughing at the conspiracy theories are the icing on the cake.
