I really liked how most of the boss themes in Shadow of the Erdtree tied back to music in the original soundtrack that relates to the character or concept they're associated with. Rellana has Renalla's theme in there, Romina has Malenia, Messmer has Radagon, Scadutree Avatar has Erdtree Avatar, Midra has Nomadic Merchant songs, and of course Chosen Consort brings back Starscourge Radahn's theme with a newfound sense of pride and rejuvenation. Feel free to point out if I missed any other connections, but those were the ones I noticed.
I’ve just realised that those united in common cause MIGHT be the same theme in the opening cutscene of the base game (specifically the part that starts when the narrator… moans).
They really made a peak boss and named him Midra. My personal top 5 would be: 5. Messmer. 4. Bayle the Dread. 3. Promised Consort. 2. Divine Beast Dancing Lion. 1. Midra (I adore his ost, the dissonance, the merchant song's melody... it's just perfect). 10/10 ost, 10/10 dlc
Jori’s boss music is definitely a stand-out for me. If not for the fact that the boss I first thought would just be a reskin inquisitor with some repurposed music turned out to not only have its own dedicated ost but also be the best “Deacons of the Deep”-esque boss Frosmoftware has made, then for the fact that vocals go so diabolically hard in the second phase. (Also sets the mood perfectly for the following area)
Yeah, I'm glad to see someone who also appreciates Jori's theme. I love the second phase. It is interesting to notice that Commander Gaius didn't get his own original theme, but Jori got it.
@@Bayle-the-Dread-Dragon As I put in the video, they reused a track from the base game named "Old warriors", the same used for Commander O'Neil? Was that what you meant?
God I absolutely ADORE Romina's theme, and the fact that it was used in the story trailer only makes it seem like they really wanted to capture the absolute horror of Messmer's(Marika's really) crusade and the results of it as Romina wouldn't even be in the twisted and horrifying state she is if it weren't for it and how it conveys this is so amazing in my opinion and it easily makes my top 5 list in the entire Elden Ring ost list. I just wish more people liked it and it's story. It really gives me the feel I got from the Godskin themes, something regal yet twisted and wrong somehow.

Messmer has my favorite theme, it’d already be in the top five by itself, but that phase transition choir is so fucking awesome, close second is Bayle followed by Midra then Jori and Radahn.

Actually good opinion, i feel like rellana Is a great boss, but not best in the franchise, but in the dlc It surely takes like the 4th spot for me, no cutscenes tho
Messmer the Impaler, best fight, best moveset and combos, best ost, best desing, best intro cinematic, best second phase, with no doubt, the best and more complex boss of Elden Ring 🔥🔥🔥🔥
Favorite for me has to be rellanas theme, the intense violin especially at the ending and start just make you feel like an absolute badass fighting her
5. Those United in Common Cause 4. Bayle the Dread 3. Romina, Saint of the Bud 2. Promised Consort Radahn/Radahn, Consort of Miquella 1. Divine Beast Dancing Lion Honorable Mentions: Midra, Lord of Frenzied Flame & Metyr, Mother of Fingers
The best Elden Ring boss themes are undoubtedly Promised Consort, Godskin Apostles and Mohg. It's hard to pick one, but I think Promised Consort is more outstanding.
The petrecent knight is so underrated, it looked so bad ass coming outa the cave and its theme felt like a countdown on what’s to expect from this guy, leaves you wondering where tf did he get that horse, are those body parts on him ect
TOP 7 1-Bayle The Dread 2-Promised Consort Radahn 3-Rellana Twin Moon Knight 4-Messmer The Impaler 5-Divine Beast Dancing Lion 6-Midra Lord Of Frenzied Flame 7-Romina Saint Of The Bud
Sadly there is no new boss theme composed by her in the DLC, but they reused the track The immured (composed by her) in the nameless mausoleum boss fights, not enough Kitamura there, I know.
That's an easy question. Also, the one person who commented that your video has the highest quality boss themes were right. I compared Midra's theme to other videos and yours is much cleaner, less boomy bass. _#1. Midra_ I mean, come the fuck on, I'm not explaining myself, and if you want me to, THE DEPTHS OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS!!! _#2. Romina_ Love her theme, and I super apprecitate the Malenia motif in the second phase of the song. _#3. Promised Consort Radahn_ Miquelladahn was definitlely a tough fight, and it annoyed me, but hearing Radahn's OG theme made it worth it, especially Phase 2, that choir was 👌. _#4. Those United In Common Cause_ This one hits hard. That's all I need to say. _#5. Putrescent Knight and Meytr, Mother Of Fingers_ I _hate_ these fucking bosses. Absolutely detest them. Their music, however, is alien and cinematic and unlike anything else we hear in the game.
I'm glad to know that! Normally my Elden Ring OST videos have all the highest audio quality, they come directly to the game, and great top 5 of yours \[T]/

The Promised Consort is a masterpiece. I think it is the most impressive and has a trance like quality that matches the tempo of a war march and the clarion calls of a hero that no one else could possibly measure up to, a Radahn in his prime. The Miquella part is technically different but comes together spiralling towards a Godhood, but I prefer the first phase.
Agreed! The 1st half is melodic, the 2nd one is chaotic, I understand why it is like that, but I do prefer the 1st to the 2nd one. Best track in the game along with Godskin Apostles and Mohg's OST
I can explain that XD Golden Hippo is a unique boss in the DLC, so it had to be in the video, however its theme is from the base game, it is reused, they didn't compose a new theme just for the poor Hippo, so I put it in the ending part of the video :) Good trio there ^^

Oi, Rodolpho. Vamos aguardar. Se eu conseguir confirmar as letras, publicarei vídeos a respeito :)
@@rphfr Thank you for watching my videos ^^ Do you know how I discovered the Souls games? My personal ranking would be: 1. The Promised Consort (which is my favorite in the entire game and possibly all of soulsborne) 2. Midra 3. Putrescent Knight 4. Divine Beast 5. Those United In Common Cause

And devine beast feels like an angry god of beasts is brawling with me while people in the arena celebrating and chearing that beast. best dlc ever i thought elden ring was the peak but dlc surpassed it. i don't know what is the actual peak for fromsoftware they keep going higher and higher.
Radahn best boss and best theme. Don’t @ me. I’ve done RL 1 +0 blessings recently, so no he’s not too hard. Edit: I do think just like with the base game a lot of the dlc bosses suffer from bad balancing, but Radahn is not as much one of them like Rellana or Gauss is.
the divine beast ost made the fight 5x more intense and since it was my first main boss of the dlc it left a unbelievably strong impression. sadly i really think a lot of the other sound tracks sound too much like background music. romina and putresence knight are especially bland.
Shadow of the MIDtree bosses are pathetic. Not only the bosses feels lazy and fight like one of those poorly made modded bosses... Fromsoft put zero effort in this dlc. The soundtrack, story, lore, weapons, ending, final boss, narrative, the writing of the characters, designs, recycled bosses, reused ds3 assets and movesets like Relanna and Bayle with Midir and Sulyvahn movesets, etc. Everything feels so "I don't feel like trying hard and doing my job" (even if they coocked this joke for 2 years lmao) Fromsoft and Miyazaki did everything wrong with this dlc...
It may not be the most original FromSoft DLC in all regards, but it was the best one I played overall (I haven't played Bloodborne DLC). Even though I do understand some of your points, you're being too harsh. There are both confirmism and nonconfirmism in the gaming world.

Rellana has the best OST and design in the game. They're also some of the best in the franchise.

Actually good opinion, i feel like rellana Is a great boss, but not best in the franchise, but in the dlc It surely takes like the 4th spot for me, no cutscenes tho

The best Elden Ring boss themes are undoubtedly Promised Consort, Godskin Apostles and Mohg. It's hard to pick one, but I think Promised Consort is more outstanding.
@@AntoniusTertius Completely agree
The petrecent knight is so underrated, it looked so bad ass coming outa the cave and its theme felt like a countdown on what’s to expect from this guy, leaves you wondering where tf did he get that horse, are those body parts on him ect

Promised consort gets me, I just miss Yuka kitamura on the soundtrack
Sadly there is no new boss theme composed by her in the DLC, but they reused the track The immured (composed by her) in the nameless mausoleum boss fights, not enough Kitamura there, I know.
@@AntoniusTertiusthere's no boss soundtrack but she does do St Trina
@@Bill_9999 Indeed, Yuka composed 4 DLC pieces: St. Trina, Gravesite Plain, Gravesite Plain (at night) and Abyssal Woods.
That's an easy question. Also, the one person who commented that your video has the highest quality boss themes were right. I compared Midra's theme to other videos and yours is much cleaner, less boomy bass.
_#1. Midra_
I mean, come the fuck on, I'm not explaining myself, and if you want me to, THE DEPTHS OF YOUR FOOLISHNESS!!!

Love her theme, and I super apprecitate the Malenia motif in the second phase of the song.

Miquelladahn was definitlely a tough fight, and it annoyed me, but hearing Radahn's OG theme made it worth it, especially Phase 2, that choir was 👌.

This one hits hard. That's all I need to say.
_#5. Putrescent Knight and Meytr, Mother Of Fingers_
I _hate_ these fucking bosses. Absolutely detest them. Their music, however, is alien and cinematic and unlike anything else we hear in the game.

The best boss theme IMO is a three way tie between Bayle, Dancing Lion and Romina.
I like how you just randomly put hippopotamus in the end😂
Ima also have my trio with
1 Midra
2 dancing lion
3 rellana
I can explain that XD Golden Hippo is a unique boss in the DLC, so it had to be in the video, however its theme is from the base game, it is reused, they didn't compose a new theme just for the poor Hippo, so I put it in the ending part of the video :)
Good trio there ^^

I heard "Marika" too, but I didn't recognize the other words, thank you!
Oi, Rodolpho.
Vamos aguardar. Se eu conseguir confirmar as letras, publicarei vídeos a respeito :)

We gotta get a lyric video with the dancing lion theme❤
@@santiagomerlos2671 Indeed! For now, I'm trying to confirm Radahn's lyrics.

I agree with you! This DLC is the best one FromSoftware has ever done!
I think rathan is the best boss theme but the boss fight was horrible.
one of the worst boss fight in soullike..
For me, Consort Radahn theme is also the best.
Hey, Jackfrost, I arranged some SMT songs for church organ, if you're interested :)
the divine beast ost made the fight 5x more intense and since it was my first main boss of the dlc it left a unbelievably strong impression. sadly i really think a lot of the other sound tracks sound too much like background music. romina and putresence knight are especially bland.
@@lanius1084 I wholeheartedly agree with the first half of your comment and don't quite agree with the other half. I really like Romina's theme...
Putrescent knight’s theme being mellow does not mean its bland.
Everything feels so "I don't feel like trying hard and doing my job" (even if they coocked this joke for 2 years lmao)
Fromsoft and Miyazaki did everything wrong with this dlc...
It may not be the most original FromSoft DLC in all regards, but it was the best one I played overall (I haven't played Bloodborne DLC). Even though I do understand some of your points, you're being too harsh. There are both confirmism and nonconfirmism in the gaming world.
