New to your channel and must say that your knowledge of all “behind the bar” things coupled with your incredible disposition, charisma and ease of expressing yourself without being pompous is much appreciated and admired.
I really like your "serve", arm behind the back, you don't push the drink toward the patron, you lean in and firmly, gently, set it on the bar. It's just the right amount of professional assertiveness.
Excellent video! Thank you. My wife LOVES the Appletini. Over the years it has evolved with her to request Bombay Safire Gin instead of vodka and shake it like it is talking crap about your momma. The juniper compliments Appletini mix very well per my wife :)
The Appletini definitely brings back memories, as I was living in West Hollywood when Lola’s introduced the concoction and it was an immediate hit all across Los Angeles. In fact, it was not unusual for it to sell out given its popularity. No worries. Lola’s had an entire martini menu, so it was fun to try other wild concoctions whenever the Appletini was 86ed. Their most unusual: garlic mashed potato.
@@BehindtheBar : No, and I’ve tried to find Lola’s bar menu from way back when. Still looking. I did find a recipe online that calls for potato vodka, which I recall was the main ingredient at Lola’s. I’m guessing cloves of roasted garlic were used - perhaps to infuse the vodka. One day, I might experiment with it.
Great video again! Reminded me of the most epic phrase ever "Tastes like regret"! My apple snaps is a different brand but I really think I will regret I have not dome me one earlier! Cheers! 🍏🍏🍏
Ostentatiously large is my new favourite measurement. So classy. "That cocktail is too big" "Not it is not, it is ostentatiously large" *Drinks with pinky out*
Yup, I’m not going to lie I had bad memories of it but I think the ones I was drinking back then were really bottom shelf schnapps- this was actually pretty darn tasty!
New to the channel. Really liking it. I’m bad with accents, you an Irish transplant in the land down under? Cheers. Ok I found an earlier vid and Scottish. Very cool. I worked with a group of former RBS blokes and you sound so much better. Cheers.
A girl enters a bar, sits down, and orders a double appletini in an over-sized martini glass. After she finishes the drink, she peeks inside her shirt pocket, then orders another double appletini. After she finishes that, she again peeks inside her shirt pocket and orders another one. The bartender says: "Look fam, I'll bring you appletini's all night long - but you got to tell me why you look inside your shirt pocket every time you order." She replies: "I'm peeking at a photo of my husband. When he starts to look good, I will know it's time to go home!" Now that's one cheesy appletini joke! 😛😝 Ok, I'll leave now.
Hey pal! For most drinks we have a ‘Make It Quick’ video that we just keep as short as possible and to the point, and then a longer version with more history, information on the products, tastings etc. The Appletini one is here: th-cam.com/video/OIx3S0zfbEo/w-d-xo.html Don’t worry, we don’t let it go to waste 😉

Thank you so much pal, that’s so lovely to hear! We really appreciate the support and plan to keep the videos coming...

Haha I’ve never honestly thought about it that much but thank you!

Thank you so much Rustam, that means a lot 😊

So glad you enjoyed it! I’ve never tried it with gin but gin and apple is a great combo!
Drink looks amazing, and she's a cutie pie 😊
I discovered this drink on New Years Eve 2003. It is still my New Years Party drink all these years later.
I love traditions like these!
You are awesome! I just love you!!

Hahaha you’ve given me a few proper lols this week!
Where did you get this martini glass? I love it. New to the channel and lovely to hear a Scot!
They were a charity shop find I’m afraid! Thank you for the lovely comment 😊
with love from Moscow!
👋
I like to put a Rainier Cherry in the bottom of the glass, when they're available.
There is nothing quite like an Appletini. Its a simple 90's that actually tastes good.

Ah noice one! They say an apple a day keeps the doctor away (Marketing genius!) A new health drink perhaps? :-)

Hahaha we have quite a range of accents for such a small country! Thanks for the support 😊
I have to admit, I have never had an Appletini. Maybe I will soon.
Do it 😊

Thank you for the recipe, also on behalf of Dr. John (Appletini with shot, but only a little bit) Dorian from Sacred Heart Hospital. :D
Nice! I also have some videos in my playlist!🏆🏆🏆
You should take a sip of your freshly made drink and drop a couple comments on it. I feel it would round off the videos nicely ☺️

Behind the Bar
I never noticed that. Thanks!

😘
You quite literally look like Amy Adams and Henry Cavill are your parents!
Haha I’ll take that although it would mean some quite confusing feelings towards my father 😜
