The reason why you were softlocked in world 2 castle is that the level is hard coded with the multi path gimmick. Replacing the level in any way, including edits will softlock the game. The only way to continue at this point would be either keep the castle as is or put a secret exit level on 1-3 or 2-6. Great video btw.
@@siyahseeker I think they pretty much revamped the whole game, like maybe either none of the levels are the same as in Vanilla or they just skipped the file of that castle,left no way to access it and just left it to chill in the code, just some possibilities because I don't know about modding enough.

If anyone is confused about 2-castle, the level wasn't meant to be changed since it is hard coded to be a autoscroll level. So in this case, you might need to go on a 100% save file and go to world 3

I think that the reason the music stops randomly sometimes is because the thing that controls the BRSTM files (the files for the music in NSMBW) doesn't have their loop points patched correctly. Either that, or the randomizer straight up randomizes the WAV files in them, which can also lead to looping bugs. As for why 8-3 doesn't have the lava waves, the lava waves were hardcoded to the actual 8-3 level slot.
If there is gonna be a sequel to this program hard locking SOME levels from rotation would be good. Toad houses are fine in rotation but softlock levels like the title screen, peach’s castle and credits need to be locked.
I’m not 100% sure, but if pretty sure the reason Yoshi played the second version of the bowser theme is because Yoshi usually adds an instrument to the song. The game probably went “hmm.. add the bumbs I guess”
This video feels like that one video that has 15M views and then the rest of the channel is like at 100K or something, in the good sense, very underrated video and overall channel.
