    Your transition from a compression to the parallels in an absorption system was exactly what i needed to memorize this system. You did something my teachers in college couldn't. Thank you. Please keep teaching

    I just watched this video twice because I was so
    Excited I was finally able to understand clearly what absorption is.

    you have explained the absorption system nicely. It is absolutely the same as said in the books. for eg. if i want to cool a quantity of 50 ltrs. (in evaporator) of water in a aluminium container to 10 degree centigrade what should be the size of generator (Length X Breath X Height = Volume) + temperature , Absorber (volume) + temperature, condensor coil of 5/16" pipes length and evaporator of 5/16" pipe length + temperature to be maintained. If you could explain, this would be more useful for a trial check (or) how will you arrive size of the system to cool the aforesaid quantity. Please explain. Let us try differently which will be more useful.

    One question and one suggestion - Question: What keeps the pressure separated between the generator and absorber, seems like the high pressure in the generator would blast pressure into the absorber? Perhaps an orifice that isn't shown? Suggestion for people dealing with his strong accent - watch at 0.50 or 0.75 speed. But I agree with others, very good presentation, and I now almost understand this.

    To create a cool environment we are again using a coolant. Is the refrigeration effect better than the heat transfer between coolant and absorber?

    Ammonia has greater affinity to water. So water is used as absorber and obiviously many other solution can be used as an absorber but water is relatively low in price and readily available it is used. The purpose of using absorber in absorption and compressor in compression is only for increasing its pressure to get rid of the latent heat to the surroundings as well as to Recirculate the refrigerant and to keep on the process in circulation.

    • @Dr.AmitMandal
      @Dr.AmitMandal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      The only work input is in compressor, it is greatly reduced . In Electrolux which is modified aqua ammonia system, there is no pump even.

    Condensor works on constant pressure and temperature so it doesn't lower the pressure temperature, it is expansion valve which lowers pr and temp

    • @Dr.AmitMandal
      @Dr.AmitMandal  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Expansion valve is a 'Gate' of fluid to move from high to low pressure..
