I feel like this hike has been a titanic struggle between Roadrunner and the snow! I love her reaction every time she sees a patch of snow.
You are so hilarious! You teased us with the new tent a few times, but, did we get to see it? Nein.
Somewhere, the hiker, provides another layer of enjoyment to your videos. Like you, we never know when we’ll see her, but it is always a joy. I love her smile.
I hope Sonic catches up as I am warming up to him! I enjoyed the Crock saga.
I remember one time I did a 60 mile bike ride in a lightning rain storm and I had to persuade them to allow me to use the drive thru. I eventually got my burger 🍔 to finish my last 20 plus miles. Hike on!
You might have tetrachromacy - which is an extra cone type, so you’d see MORE colors. This is possible since you see a color INSTEAD of gray. Typical color blindness is confusing red-green, but it’s far less common in women, and most likely your father would be color blind too. Another possibility is just color-name variation, which could be due to your being German and learning English. That would only be a reasonable explanation if your color naming differences tend to happen more in English than German. But if you had this color naming issue as a kid, then that’s probably not it. Colors are a giant mystery (despite what your junior high school books might have told you). Individual variation happens. Also possible is you have a slight synesthesia which distorts the way some colored objects look based on the type of object.
I am amazed at your comfort level of hiking and camping solo. Have you always been at ease in the wilderness?
I wish I was.❤
The pastel aqua blue on your new poles match your new tent👌🐬
Timberline lodge is so beautiful!! And it means you’re only 1 hour away from Portland subscribers! That’s fun knowing you’re so close ! All the best to you. 🎉
That's a beautiful section of trail even with the haze caused by smoke. I really hope you don't come across any more fires. Stay safe out there.
Rd Runner - NEW TENT WOW - WOW ⛺ ⛺ ⛺ WOW 🤗 🤗 🤗
There are several types of color blindness. I am red/green color blind(from my Swedish side not the German). It is common in males. It also has the advantage of much better night vision which helped me a lot on night patrols in the Army 50+ years ago. The next time you get your eyes examined, have them check your color vision. Most women can detect 250 shades of red while most guys can only detect 50. Taking care of yourself is wise because we heal much slower as we age. Have fun. Happy Trails. Good Luck, Rick
Good morning, Juliane. A cold coffee and a hot coffee. The best of 2 worlds. That's a bunch of miles for a late start day. You're doing so well. You totally amaze me with the amount of miles you're able to hike. The lakes were pretty, too bad you couldn't camp there. Can't wait to see your new tent set up, hopefully tomorrow. Beautiful sunset. Nice to briefly see Somewhere again. Take care. Stay safe. See you tomorrow.
Wow! Blooming flowers and snow banks on same day. Blow downs, thick brush and beautiful distant views. Thanks for sharing.
💯Percent Awesome! What a diverse range of scenery. There is an almost 'you are there' sense to your filming of the trail. So hard to imagine one moment on the edge of some great heights to another in the thick of a great forest. Thanks for going through all the trouble to put together a really good story of the experiences.
Shale and Coyote lakes were beautiful back in the 1960s, but they became overused with the growth of outdoors adventure in the 70s-80s. The banks became muddy spaces where nothing grew and the trees around the edges of the lakes receded, which warmed the water so that fish didn't do well (planted). It looks from your video that they are beginning to recover, at least the undergrowth is looking stronger. One day these lakes and others will be back to their former beauty and hikers will be able to enjoy them again in smaller numbers.
Croc mystery solved!😂 All is well! You're smart not doing the 24 hour marathon! 😊
Dutch is the BEST. Cost is much less than the ⭐️ bucks. So cool on the new tent and poles. Hi to Somewhere. Love Sonic’s train rail site. We love the old train trails. Was able to translate on the site. YAAY for hikers that can return other hikers belongings. Thanks for your adventure and bringing us along!!
I started watching you to imagine what the trail is like for an on-line friend who is doing the PCT. Now I look forward to your videos because of you and your personality and story. Thank you!
You're doing great!! It's exciting to see your progress as you cruise forward. Maybe there could be an FKT for a Cherry Croc Relay where it travels from Mexico to Canada, being passed from fast hiker to fast hiker just for fun!
Dutch Brothers is a big chain on the west coast. Mostly drive thru. Its for people who like a little coffee with their sugar 😂
You're meeting them on The trail. LMBO. Blessings 😅
The 🍒 crock had quite an adventure...that would make a great story to write. Coyote lake doesn’t seem like a good place for Roadrunner 😂. Lots of miles! Take care and stay safe. Happy trails! 🥾 🥾
Three Strange Days, School of Fish, LETS GO!!
Holy smokes RR, I just looked down at your subscribers. You are hitting "Stella Hikes" numbers, congrats!
Dutch Bros!! Great coffee!
It's probably a drive-thru. 24 hours of hiking sounds like a great way to ruin your state of enjoyment.
Love all your videos!!
My daughter and I were at timberline lodge last Wednesday but didn’t see any hikers. We were pretty late in the day though. My daughter wanted to talk to hikers cause we plan to hike SOBO in 3 years. Also I Venmo some trail magic to you, I hope you get it 😊
Love all the new gear! I'm curious what Sonic is holding in the group picture?
I've received a complaint from the deer. They would like you to stop walking on THEIR trail. They also said you should leave them tasty snacks and ignore anyone who says that is bad for them.
Dutch Brothers is great. Get a Dutch Freeze next time!
Wow… cascade locks already
SONIC's - INCENSE MOSQUITO REPELLENT 🤗 🤗
CROC 17 mile HUNT - HIKE 🤔 😏 🤨 10X DETERMINED 👍
Hi! I'm really enjoying your video series! I'm currently on your Day 87, but I'm catching up!
Sorry, but: What is Susie's trail name? Boss Bay? Boss Fay? What does it mean? How did she get it? I've searched past videos but couldn't find it.
Oh, I thought you were probably in your 20's, maybe 30! Good for you! You're doing very well!! Enjoy your day!
Boss Bae (or Boss Baby).
She was a little 'bossy' at the beginning (they said 😊)
Thank you! @@michel.h_cf99
I have a youtube channel and I have a question. Where do you advertize your content?
What type of incense does Sonic recommend? A specific type or just any type?
Sounds like you are color blind.I’m but mine are green and brown and then blue and purple and pink lol. My daughter bought me a pair of corrective sunglasses to see normal colors. Amazing the difference
I still stand by my comment about this being the best thru hiking channel but… I would rather have one fake German. The so-called real German is bringing me down.
Be safe out there
Smoke particulates. PERMANENT LUNG DAMAGE. THINK PLEASE
