- Chris Stapleton has recently been performing a few new songs on his 2019 All American Road Show. On Thursday, October 24th at the Alliant Energy Center in Madison WI he shared “Run Maggie Run”. A song about the love of a dog. If this song is recorded and released, it’s going to be huge!
When I heard this, I died inside. When I was about 26 my parents got me a little black dog from the grocery store and I ended up naming her Maggie. She was my girl for 11 solid years till I had to let her run free across the rainbow bridge. 😭😭
Saw this performance first hand. Can't lie, this one made me cry. Anyone who has had to say goodbye to their dog will feel this one deep
He played it in Jacksonville, FL as well and I completely lost it... cuts deep but a great tribute to the best friend we could ever hope for

I lost my dog 2 weeks ago. When he talked about it being a raining day when his dog died, I lost it. Jazmin died on a rainy day as well😭😭😭

I'm a 44 yr old man and this made me cry the first time I heard it. I put a dog down 3 years ago and it still bothers me.

this song made me cry because it fits my dog Sidney to the t she died 9/18/2020 and we just lost her she was a yellow lab.i remember this one time she jumped out our house window just so she could came play at the neighborhood park with us.

Heard this song at his Tampa show, wife and I were a total puddle. We lost both our dogs within a month of each other just weeks before the show. Dogs were 16 and 14 yrs old so they were with us from single days to watching and playing with our daughter. Thanks for posting!
Sorry to hear, also lost our two dogs with a week of each other.. 8 month old with heart failure and a 5 year old that had developed malformations on his spine.. Broke down when we heard this song about a month after we had to put them down, glad I was able to find it finally

We went to the October show in Jacksonville. I posted most of it on my channel. He didn't play this song sadly but it was an epic show.
