- A night to remember at the Etihad Stadium. A fantastic all round performance from Riyad Mahrez inspired a big win for a City team that were 2-0 down at half time. The Algerian chipped in with two goals and Julian Alvarez and Erling Haaland were also on the scoresheet.

Mahrez role is not scoring goals , he's an absolute technical player who creates ball mouvement and match rythme, thats the difference between him and salah for example. Salah is a better finisher but he can't give the other players the opportunity to score or keeping up with other's rythme . But he's not bad either he was city's 1st goal scorer lst season and he's top 3 in Algeria's scoring board.
Rodri and mahrez the unsung duo ...that passes to mahrez from rodri ..so many times ..either mahrez scores ..or mahrez puts it in the box for someone ...those passes are spot on

Going thru some of the key victories from this season and watching back the highlights. This match was mental. I had surgery on 1/18 and was determined to watch this match the next day. At halftime I was not doing well - sutures were painful and I was feeling like sh*t. Then the second half and I almost popped a suture celebrating! Mahrez.... what a player. Still one of my favorites on this Treble winning dream team. C'mon City!!

Liam Delap ,as a forward is in the same bracket, maybe better , against United we needed the physicality of Liam Delap but he's been on loan. Although City lost due to refereeing error, City were dominant old Trafford,, United had packed or parked the bus waiting for loose balls to break away and got lucky with 2 goals. As you said, Rico has shown maturity at a very young age but in such an intensive game, no wonder he was tired around the 70th minutes
