Trainspotting at Oosterzee and Avondale: Prasa X'trapolis Mega and GE Class 36 Diesels.

- 1st Clip: I decided to head to Oosterzee one afternoon to capture whatever I could. To my surprise I noticed an X'trapolis Mega approaching not just from Bellville but rather the Transnet Yard. You can tell by the tracks on which it traveled.
2nd and 3rd Clip - Noticed an X'trapolis Mega and Class 36 Diesels waiting just outside Oosterzee while driving over a bridge that crosses the railway line near to Avondale station. I immediately decided to head towards that station. The X'trapolis Mega departed first and headed off to Cape Town Station. A few moments later this was followed by the Diesels with minimal freight which came out of the Transnet Yard and connected onto the Main Line to head to the harbour.

Man's spotting in my area and doesn't invite me, lekker to see a double set, definitely new sets from up country. Those 36ges on that short train seems like overkill, unless their train back was longer.

BTW the first clip is from around 22/23 December last year.... Ah. Ok. Makes sense why there were 4 GE 36s.

I had never seen two sets of xtrapolis mega are connected. Interesting, i wonder if they do it in actual operation with passengers on.
@@rooibosteabcd Really? Wow.. But they are operating like this on the central line even on a Saturday. I made a video regarding the aforementioned which I will upload this week.
