I did some reading on the mechanics of the scoring system, aggressiveness/power/follow-through is rated as worth more than accuracy as long as you still hit the blocks. Accuracy is important, but it's not the most important factor in this game (though it's usually the primary scoring mechanic in other games).

Wow. I watched this exact video in summer 2018 and it got me hooked. Had a PSVR since Christmas 2017 and my dreams came true when Beat Saber released on PSVR last December. 2 months ago I bought a new PC, last month I bought a used Oculus rift, and now this month - one year after I started playing - I can almost pass Camellia - Arche. Definitely sped up and or modded, And i know, angry hate comments incoming, but hear me out First of all, the pitch of the song is slightly higher than the original, i can tell, i have beatsaber, and have played that song many times through, Second, did you notice at 0:12 the player completely drifted around the walls in a weird way? Third, why would he get a B for a full combo? he would get an SS if not at least an S, without modifiers that is, it seems modifiers were used to slow down the song then put it back to normal tempo in editing. This might be wrong, even though i doubt that. you cant trick a beat saber veteran. And if i am in fact proved wrong, sincere apologies BananaBomb123.

The audio sounding off is most likely because this was one of my earliest videos and I didn't know how to render them correctly. (That's also why it looks like garbage at the highest resolution.) The reason I got a B is cause this was uploaded the day Beat Saber came out (were there modifiers when it came out? I can't remember), so I sucked at the game. I was barely smackin them boxes, all I cared about was tryin to be the first to FC this song. Hopefully that's convincing enough for ya. If not, check out one of my later videos.

Flick your wrists and hit the notes slightly early while the block is still near the edge of your blade. 90 degree before you hit and at least 30 after I believe but it's easier to just pay attention and get the feel. Practice that for 20 min. And your score will go WAY up. 100 points based on degree of your swings.. Only 10 additional points for perfectly centered cuts... Focus on that 100 by holding the edge of the controller and flicking wrists for most of your movement. When you stop early after getting the cut (like you were doing on the dot blocks) you severely reduce the points.

the fact that the brain can think of all this so quickly is so fascinating to me because after awhile it becomes second nature. i only just got the game and i’m loving it. i can manage a few hard levels but i’m usually vibing on normal or easy
@@aerrah_ that's great today I beat 3 expert levels. You should try practicing one level on hard over and over then when you're done you can practice on expert. I reccomend 100$ bills since it's easier. After you beat the expert. learning other levels is easier and you can tackle bigger challenges. It's fun doing harder ones because of the challenge. That's just how I like to play. Don't let my opinion change yours I was just giving tips if you wanted to get better.

Try getting a little out of arms reach of your desk or screen and mimic the movements in the video. Sure it dosent react to your actions, and it looks a little stupid, but it is actually fun if you cant afford VR and still want to play beat saber.
Dude expert for hundred dollar bills is so easy I’ve done it first try although not perfect on my first try but I would love if you did it on expert+ because it is truly hard
(I'm not trying to hate) Sorry to explain this but this is NOT a 100% run. although it is full combo which congrats on this. I have three reasons for why this isn't a 100%: 1. you can see at the end its a B, not an SS which is needed for 100% 2. during the run you can see the scores he is getting for each block down by the health bar, and a perfect swing gives you 115 points by lifting your arm up by about 90 degrees and swinging down after the block is hit by about 30 degrees for 100 points, and also while hitting directly in the middle of the block for an extra 15 points. 3. your arms have to be EXTREMELY precise for a 100% and really no one has got both the time and skill for this (not saying you're bad at it) anyway I'd say you did better than I could've done on this one.

You have to hit them in the middle too. if u hit it barely, it'll be mad and probably make you lose points, wont count in the level failed cuz blank in a row wrong factor, cuz u are technically hitting it.
Nobody I've seen has mentioned how in the vid where he had 194 combo a wall went up and nothing happened not even a cube went up and somehow he got to 194 to 196 combo by doing nothing if anyone can explain that please tell me.
why does it seem like ur really short in the settings? that mgiht be reason ur not getting a lot of points cause it could think ur barely moving ur hands but in reality ur like 1.4 metres in the settings
I hate to break it to you but this is not a 100% combo. You need to get a perfect slice on each one which is practically impossible. and that’s why it says b rank instead of SS rank which is 95%+ I believe

It's because this scores you on more than accuracy, it also scores based on power, follow through and stuff
