I’ve had DIEP flap reconstruction. This is belly fat. Cadaver skin (aloderm) and implant would not work for me due to radiation, everyone is so different. I have triple postive breast cancer and i did mastectomy before one week...there is pain in scar and under my arm....i hope every thing will go ok....God help us...for me i understand that life is agift so l shoud appreciate it...before i did not see how it beautiful...iam so busy in my work and with my kids....no time for me....i miss areally good time and event when i work like machine....so for all women please don't forget yourself and try to enjoy every moment of your life...
I had a one lumpectomy no reconstruction needed on 5/6/2015. No mastectomy. Only two appointments were rescheduled late next month (May) . The rest are still the same also in May which have been in the books for awhile. I am so glad that Kim spoke about body image. I too have struggle with body image especially post active treatment, and some days are better others. 🧘♀️ and also being with my support group friends have helped me with the body image. Thank you Nalie and Stephanie for interviewing Kim. I have been following her for while.
