We're Eamon and Bec, a Canadian couple who previously lived and traveled full-time in our self converted Sprinter Van!! When the pandemic hit in 2020 we made the difficult decision to abandon our van in Africa and fly home to Canada. Now we're here... living at a cabin in the Canadian wilderness! Things are coming to a close after nearly 1 year of cabin renovations. As we prepare to head back to Morocco to rescue our van, we are making the most of our time left with family and friends including hosting a bachelorette party for my (Bec) sister 💜. Sooo, with 12 ladies headed to the cabin we need to kick Eamon out of the house and challenge him to 24 hours alone in the wilderness.

We've always envisioned moving into the woods by the lake and building our dream tiny cabin as a home base for us to come back to in between our international van life travels. While we are looking forward to rescuing our abandoned van from Morocco, we are so so grateful to have this space to call home!

I have a boat and we can do plenty of things out of the water or go to the parks because they are beautiful hit the boardwalk and see king Neptune or do a little trip up to the mountains it would be awesome and I would love to hang with y’all!
And of course you can stay at my place free! I’m right by the beach!

@@1771bubba feeling you and your heart. My best buddy passed away 8 years ago. We did the road trips, the camping, the hiking. I think that is why Eamon and Bec appeal to me so much. They remind me of "us" many years ago.
I too enjoyed Eamon's solo trip. His comments that the adventures are better with his buddy is so true. My buddy was killed 16 years ago. I try to make all my adventures count for two. Be safe and cherish.

I loved this! My mother-in-law is an avid kayaker...she does these kinds of camping trips with her friends a few times a year, not only in lakes, but ocean kayaking as well. It looked like so much fun. I'd be talking to myself too. 100% 😊

The best way to pack a sleeping bag is to stuff it in the bag, dont roll it, works everytime !

What a wonderful little island, that Eamon found; no bears, no angry birds, no people; so peaceful. Thank goodness that caught-up tree didn't fall during the night. That was a good lesson on the importance of scouting out an area before deciding on a campsite. But all and all, great adventure.

Awesome camping trip!!! I am a wee bit jealous...okay...a lot jealous! In the future, be very careful about camping near falling trees like the one on No Bear Island. Those are called Widow Makers for a reason.
