    The youtube algorithm gods have blessed me. Everything about this video is amazing. The filming, commentary and editing was perfect. I'm sure it would have been cool to have a crew, but there is something special about solo trekking. Subscribed.

    "I don't want to go too fast as this trail is narrow" meanwhile vapor trails are coming off the stanchion tubes..... Great video Jeff, I appreciate all of the hard work that goes into a trip like this. I have used both Moto and my Jeep for back country MTB trips and adding cameras into the mix to make a film is a lot of work. Those trails look epic!

    I didn't notice how long this video was as I never normally start long videos. I must admit though I was hooked and couldn't stop watching. The idea of going off on an adventure like that captivated me. Would love to see more videos like this.

    Really enjoy the bike on bike content. I also have a 2x2 rack that lives permanently on the rear of my A'twin under a SW motech tail bag. I have modified the rack by cutting of the skewer through and bolting on a Rocky Mounts axel clamp. Little easier for the ons and offs. I also copied the front skewer mount and outrigged one on each side of the rack so my wheels can ride next to the rack above the rear tire. When needing more gear room I invested in a Kip Moto Trailer. Thing works a treat.

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Way cool! Why’d you pull the bicycle rear wheel- Clearance or for weight distribution? I use a Shimano QR rear thru axle on a few bikes, but many of my bikes are stuck to a bolt on rear axle. Part of why I brought that yeti was the 2020 Fox 36, as unlike the 2021 and 2022 fox products, the older fork doesn’t require an Allen to pull the wheel. Do you have any vids or pics of your set up?

    • @JeffKendallWeed
      @JeffKendallWeed  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Also- has your 2x2 rack bent in the center? Mine is collapsing in the middle, and is visibly “sinking” from the weight of the bicycle. I just use 2 regular cam buckle moto tie downs to pull the bicycle down via the handle bar, but I’m thinking all the water bars and rocks was just more than the 2x2 could handle when mounted with brackets rather than flat on a tail plate. I only rallied the 2x2 for maybe 500 dirt miles (but about 3000 miles total).

    I love the Motorcycle / mountain bike stuff. I saw a couple in Moab 3 years ago with the 2X2 bike rack and have wanted one since but first I had to learn to ride a motorcycle. I got that done then Covid put a damper on things here Canada. Summer 2022 is going to be the year to travel with my MTB on my Africa Twin. Keep on making those vids they are all good.

    Slept at the cabin in the Chilcotins last august!! I'm telling you this place is special! There were 2 things I regretted not packing with me for this overnight trip: Camp shoes and another beer. Well believe me or not. I found a pair of guest sandals in the cabin AND a forgotten beer in the creek nearby. Safe to say this cabin did not disappoint!

My heart is with these great people as they try to recover and rebuild from these November 2021 floods. I’m sure much of what I just saw here is unrecognizable or unreachable. Hope as well that you are safe and dry in Bellingham.

Had that same X grip phone mount and had the same thing happen when not using their rubber band-ish holder. Replaced it with a mount from Hondo garage called the perfect squeeze. Best mount I have ever seen and would work great for your use FYI.
