      I'm familiar with the company Dangote and have visited Nigeria however i cannot speak Yoruba etc but I'm learning. Could someone please tell me what Burna is saying about Dangote and what's the main theme or message in the song please? Thank you.

    • @Sarahosagie
      @Sarahosagie ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@sarahelias7270 Dangote is the richest man in Africa, he owns the Dangote Group. “But he’s still a hustler”
      Him saying, “Dangote Dangote, Dangote still Dey find money, who I be wey i no go find money, I no send anybody, me I go hustle gan gan”.
      Basically saying if we can see how ruthless the richest man in Africa is about his money and politics, who are we the lay men not to find money but all means necessary. Nigerians have a hustle and struggle mentality, because of the bad government, they need to adapt to the worst case scenarios. You’d see various moments in the video where people are doing weird things for money, stealing in the bus, online fraud, even the last boy carrying dollars didn’t get it through legal means definitely if you compare the stacks he had with where he stays. Generally the song is just highlighting the everyday struggles of a Nigerian and their hustle to survive.

      Billionaires are not inspirations. They hoard money that millions of people could use to better their lives. Listen to the last stanza of the song - Dangote and all these other super rich people "finding money" by the billions means us poor people are left wondering "why me no go find money?" Dangote is ranked by Forbes magazine as the 100th-richest person in the world and the number 1 richest in Africa,and peaked on the list as the 23rd-richest person in the world in 2014."- Source: Wikipedia.
      He has a current net worth estimated at 10.8 Billion USD.

    A classic and timeless depiction of the struggles of the real average Nigeria. Notice that even burna does not pretend to be actually poor by not appearing in the video. The Push, the hustle, the complex irony: lagos traffic, the bus preacher, the drug marketer, the phone theft, the groping on the bus, the shrine saying drugs are not allowed. Complex Ironies, Struggles. Even the richest black man is still hustling and pushing his products. iT is just to beautiful to describe in words. real work of art.
