The Quad meeting isn't to sign anything. It's a discussion between the leaders of the US, Australia, Japan and India to work together and support one another across a range of issues such as climate change and Chinese expanison in the Indo-Pacific Region. It's an informal gathering. There's no full blown legislations being signed but more handshake agreements and discussion on how each country can help the others mutually progress.
What's disgusting about it? It's in the same family of policies as Japan's Asian Energy Transition Initiative to provide these nations with advanced power plants to replace old inefficient coal burners. Smaller developing nations have complained that decarbonization rules are asking them to cut their economic output, so this provides them with the means to produce energy much more efficiently and meet carbon cutting goals without sacrificing growth.

Incorrect title. He is the 31st, thus he is the 11th Prime Prime Minister
Well played sir. Well played.
Koshie is such a fangirl of this guy
He said he talked to Biden about how to help Pacific islands to cut their emissions? That's absolutely disgusting.
Albo is representing the Australian people first!! Unlike his predecessor who was only ever in politics to suit himself. As are many politicians, counsellors and people in positions of authority.
What sort of reporters do you have ,children can ask better questions ,climet plan for the small islands is far too late ,I was very surprised they didn't ask him what football team he followed ,penny Wong ,a really bad mistake ,make a mistake and move on.
Peter Dutton is not blessed by a benign appearance. He does look like an evil villain from central casting.
Using more fancy words doesn't change the fact you're judging and teasing a person for their physical appearance. We're trying to be better than Liberal, but here you are pulling us down to their level. So hypocritical. Do better, or join the Liberals - you'd be more at home there.
@@TheSlab24 Since when was making fun of people's appearances an exclusive right held by Libs? Dutton looks like Voldemort and you know it.
@@AD-nq2nz It's not just Lib's right to tease people for their appearance. It's everybody's right to be disappointing, divisionary and hateful - as you are showing. It's sad and only stirs pain rather than leading by being better than that.
But, you do you. I can't stop you lowering yourself to their level, your choice to do so.
He’s a vile human who does look like Voldemort and that’s been a long running joke between the people and we can say that, it’s a vital part of democracy that we can be able to joke about politicians - often in a cruel way. But Tanya, as a politician should know better than to make fun of one of her colleagues in opposition based on his looks. Glad she apologised
@@saucysven1505 Maybe Voldemort is based on Dutton, not the other way around? Dutton's a very nasty, mean-spirited man. He employed James Ashby, the sordid little fixer who committed perjury against Peter Slipper. Dutton orchestrated the vilest of attacks on Slipper until he was destroyed.
That kotchie dude looks like like Voldemort’s brother
ELBOW WAKE UP MATE THATS POLITICS ...OH BY THE WAY HAVE YOU OR YOUR MINISTERS GOT ELECTRIC CARS ???
Climate change = green energy = Energy Transition=my skill=my work =running= in my hand....
Why did they add the line about women’s appearances, they’re damn jokes. Get over it. We have gender equality, expect equal jokes at the expense of all genders. We can’t have double standards. Either stop all gender related jokes or just get over it.
The interviewer calls him "mate". I realise that Aussies are informal but it is too much. Have some respect.
Hay mate not on
Wow, comments now activated? Emulating Skynews?
I always wonder why comments are turned of , maby because we are only a sporting nation
We,see what he dancer around mate you might have to pay some taxes this time around
Scott Morrison is a despicable person
Help the pacific islands cut emissions? These islands have been trying to get Australia to cut their emissions for years. Any emissions produce by these pacific islands is extremely small compared to Australia. Why not sort out your garbage in your own back yard? That is what would help these islands.
I get that we celebrate egalitarianism and everything, but that is no way to interview the leader of a nation. crossing your legs and addressing him so informally. 😒 give respect to the tough job that leaders have
Hi everyone. Do you know what Australia did to Solomon Islands
Please understand that Blame is for war.
Please understand that give and take is for peace.
Please understand that wars that thought on blame last 20 years .
Please understand if we give and take in Ukraine and Russia the war will come to a end
We’re stuffed
Talking Harry Potter and shape shifting...Has Scott Morrison really assessed Albos body?
Very nice for the New President of Australia 🇦🇺 it will work well for Australia.
Lets go albo
About the voldemort comment, she should appologise to voldemort not dutton. :P
That's actually really sad that you're teasing someone about their appearance. This is why we can't move forward.
SCOMO has no investment properties. Albo has investment properties. So it will be interesting to see his housing affordability measures and fixing supply chain and delays in development processes
2/3rd's of voters are home owners. Neither Labor or the Coalition want to lower house prices, because they would lose votes if they did. The only difference in policy is how they go about getting young people or first home buyers into their first home.

He left Australia with a One Trillion dollar debt to GDP…the guy should be jailed.

What a lot of stupid questions .
How many jobs and how much industry will we loose is the real question
Is this the news or a social meeting? Crikey! By the time you get to anything important to me I'm falling asleep.
ALBO vs VOLDEMORT
Just before the results came in from the election I knew that we needed a different PM but not a labor one. Instead of focusing on what truly matters he creates a new role in the Australian government called "assistant minister of the republic", so when people say he's "pulling back to core issues", it's kind of hard to believe.
Sorry, but as our brand new PM held his professionalism, we have all just seen how pathetically unprofessional our ‘flagship’ morning media duo can perform. Mr Kosch, the man is a PM, not one of your ‘mates’ at the latte shop in Martin Place, and Ms Barr, I’ve seen dumb before but at least try to look intelligent: here’s a tip, don’t speak….
I am hopeful. They've got plenty of baggage themselves but Labor typically respect the system, journos and regular people more than Liberal. Plus there is a relief at getting rid of the climate change deniers. Even if Albanese does exactly what he says, we're all used to the crap. It will take many years to improve respect and honesty and openness in politics. We've all got baggage.
Climate change is still open to debate, but we have no freedom of speech on this issue.
@@szabinaeszter592 Ha, ha! Yes, do indeed "debate". How about debating the theory of evolution, or the theory of relativity. Quantum Mechanics perhaps?
Reputable scientists who have challenged the consensus have been silenced, so is that a good thing in a liberal democracy is it? Scientific consensus is an oxymoron, as anyone who understands the scientific method knows.
@@szabinaeszter592 Where have they been silenced? Books have been written debunking climate change and they have been published. These books have been thoroughly examined and debunked. What do you know about scientific method? Do you have science qualifications and training? I suspect not.
@@szabinaeszter592 only details. The system is retaining more energy due to the different composition of the atmosphere. You may be legally sane but it isn't possible for a reasonable person to seriously doubt the science on this. I'm sorry you are wasting your precious time on this.
I'm hopeful,Just a reminder, the head of government hasn't full control of policy and only the support of community and their representatives will convince the majority members of parliament to pass anything of legislation...I think..
Bit behind the curve 7, the Dutton as Voldermort vs Albo as Harry Potter meme has been out for a while.
